Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort is celebrated by guests for its array of amenities, including shuttles and diverse dining options, as well as its prime beachfront location. Despite these perks, some travelers have voiced concerns over room conditions, mentioning mildew smells and water damage. The friendly staff often receives high marks, but there are occasional reports of less-than-stellar service.
Guests also caution about the resort's value, highlighting unexpected fees. While the overall atmosphere and cleanliness are praised, issues with housekeeping persist.

Detailed Reviews
This is our 5th visit to our lovely and spacious superior one bedroom villa at Divi Village. Our unit has two bathrooms, one king bedroom and one queen, comfy sofa bed. Our unit also has a private rooftop area with a Jacuzzi and BBQ facilities. It is so nice to see many of the familiar faces still working the resort since we first visited 8 years ago. Bird Man at the front door and Zariyna at Concierge are always a pleasure to chat up. Housekeeping staff a very nice and do an excellent job. We cook most of our meals in the unit and the kitchen is well stocked and equipped for easy cooking and cleaning with a dishwasher. There is also a washer/dryer in unit. We love the many pools at Divi Village and we also love going to other nice pools at Divi Dutch, Divi Phoenix and Divi All Inclusive. We had fresh towels delivered and trash removed each day. They also did a full cleaning Monday and Thursday during our week's stay. Divi resorts have so much to do and we love going to different resorts for all kinds of nightly entertainment. Its also within walking distance to Druif Beach as well as popular Eagle Beach. We normally rent a car and travel to different beaches for snorkeling, swimming etc.Super Foods grocery is our favorite although Ling's Market is within walking distance.
One word of advice is to check your bill very closely at time of check out. They tend to add on charges that you don't necessarily utilize. This happened twice during our 5 stays over the years. They fix it eventually, but please pay attention. Divi Management should also take note that billing system works accurately.

We love this resort. The one bedroom unit was clean with everything in proper working order. Shower pressure was so strong that I actually missed it once home.
Our housekeeping services were nothing short of excellent. Front desk workers were so friendly and professional. Basically we did not encounter one rude person the entire 10 days at the hotel or on the island. Aruba is definitely One Happy Place.
Our only shock was when we took a walk to the beach upon arrival and discovered that it eroded down to a terrible state. The rest of the beach is nice you just need to walk down an extra bit.
I ordered a pizza one night at Sea Breeze to take back to the room. When the waiter gave it to me he apologized and said that the pizza oven was broken but they were getting it fixed. I actually didn't comprehend what he was talking about until I opened the pizza in my room and saw that the bottom was raw. It had been a long day in the sun and I didn't feel like going back to return it so it went into the garbage. I just wish he didn't sell it to me in the first place if it wasn't cooked properly.
The onsite covid testing went smooth as silk and Rene from front desk was so helpful to me by getting my test results printed out.
Every other aspect of this property is exceptional and we look forward to returning next year.

It was our first trip to Aruba and this resort was average but definitely could’ve been better than just average. The front desk staff after check-in were unfriendly and seemed bothered by our need for help. We didn’t have several things in our room upon checkin: no blanket or sheets in the room for the pullout couch, no broom, no scrub pad for dishes, no dish drying rack, no towel or bathing suit drying rack on balcony, and sheets wouldn’t stay on the bed in the bedroom at all. When we requested some of these items we got the third degree for some reason. The internet did not pickup at all in our room and most of the time it didn’t on our balcony as well. Our room desperately needed maintenance. We got locked out of our room 5 times because the maintenance department refused to fix the broken keycard door system. Other issues inside our first room: both of the ceiling fans didn’t work, the kitchen faucet is extremely loose, an eye on the stove didn’t work at all, and the water in the shower was lukewarm everyday. We were moved to another room after dealing with all of our troubles but still had to move again on the last day because the room we were moved to was booked on our last day - moving three times in 9 days isn’t ideal especially with small kids. The resort has decent food and the restaurant staff are somewhat friendly but not very welcoming. We enjoyed the food and staff much more outside the resort. The housekeeping staff is definitely above average especially compared to other things at this resort. The pools, pool bars (multiple happy hours) and proximity to the beach are the top redeeming factors of this resort. Overall, the resort was average but definitely has lots of potential to be much more than average.

Our first time visiting Aruba and we stayed at Divi Village. We had a one bedroom condo for our family (2 adults/2 children). I like that there is a little kitchen, washer/dryer (just pack your own detergent), and 2 bathrooms. Our room also had 2 balconies with beautiful views and a hot tub. The decor was a little dated, but everything was very clean and well equipped.
We loved the Infinity pool! It’s beautiful and large in size. My kids loved the zero depth entry area and the water slide. The drinks at the bar were very good.
We had the all inclusive package, but not everything was open due to Covid. We enjoyed eating at Mulligan’s, Red Parrot, Pelican Terrace, and Pure Lime. All of the food we tried was good. I liked that the restaurants were kid friendly for my picky little eater.
The beach was amazing! Beautiful blue water and soft white sand. We had no trouble getting lounge chairs and a palapa each day.
Overall we had an amazing experience at Divi!

We had a villa near the Infinity Pool, so we basically walked out our patio door to the pool. Our group really loved the Infinity bar for food and drinks. We had the All Inclusive option and for us it was well worth it. Anyone who gives this resort a bad review is being very picky.
My buddy and I did play 9 holes of golf at this resort and the course is very nice. We just rented clubs for $40 please be mindful you do have to wear collared shirts on this course.
All restaurants at this resort are casual attire, so dress up is not necessary. The food was above average than most all inclusive we have traveled too.
The one thing not related to the resort, but to keep in mind about Aruba is the humidity is high and there mosquitoes are plentiful in some places especially early in the morning before the sun comes out.
The resort goes above and beyond with cleaning procedures.

Pros: Wonderful beach access that is not crowded, beautiful views, especially at sunset, chairs always available and usually you can grab a hut for shade at some point in the day, pool area is not crowded with people saving chairs, Seabreeze restaurant was a nice option (great service by Elizabeth and Terrance); Overall, staff was helpful and friendly. Shuttle driver, Ramon was hospitable; Property has some potential and never seems like there are too many people, providing lots of opportunity for relaxation.
Cons: interior needs updating, cleanliness was sub par (dirty floors, visible dirt and dust under beds, dirt in corners, sliding door jam very dirty, vents dirty, glass shower wall is cloudy, furniture is worn, patio furniture is also worn, fixtures need cleaning. The biggest issue was a musty and damp smell in the room. Fortunately after complaint, we were moved to another room, thanks to the help of Lilli at the front desk who was very accommodating. The next room was better, however these living spaces are not up to my expectations, and comparatively are not on par with the Eagle (where another member of our party stayed ), which had rooms that were newly and tastefully updated and spotless.
Overall this property has potential due to location and the grounds, along with some very friendly and accommodating staff, however the issues with the rooms (smell, cleanliness, and updates) should be addressed in a timely fashion.

My wife and I have been to Aruba once before, 5 years ago, and we decided to go back. We chose Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort this time and went with the all inclusive package. We were very happy with our decision picking this resort. From the moment we got there everyone was super friendly. The resort was very clean and we very happy with our room. The all inclusive package is fairly expensive but for my wife and I it was worth it not to have to worry about what you ate or drank. We will definitely be back to Aruba, named One Happy Island for a reason, and most likely choose this resort again.

So boyfriend and I were due to come here on March 28th for my 30th birthday. Due to covid our plans were out on hold. My boyfriend had my two gifts shipped to the resort to be given to me at dinner. He also had an engraved bottle of champagne. When we called the resort the same week our flight was canceled “Ana” stated she would have my gifts $1,700 worth sent back to me along with the bottle. It is now June 25th. Ana doesn’t reply to our emails or phone calls. Not once since our last promise to ensure we’d receive our items. There’s a call center in NC that’s been answering for them. We were recently told now the package room is empty and none of my packages are there anymore aka someone stole them. So now we had to contact our banks and have them investigate to have our money back for my gifts but they couldn’t for the champagne bottle that was $200. What a terrible resort that couldn’t ensure items worth a few thousand dollars were safe nor kept their promise to send it back. Its been almost three months and still no contact. I would not go here ever, how can this resort be trusted.

This is an older hotel so we were fine with some of the surface imperfections, including paint chipping and water calcification on the property exterior. The interior's subpar cleanliness was less acceptable for us though: we were greeted with a greasy handprint on our bed headboard, extensive calcified water on shower surfaces, the bathroom faucet was loose and the sink drained slowly (this is a huge pet peeve for us), a refrigerator that hummed loudly throughout the night. I brought these issues to the front desk, and they were jotted down in a notebook but don't believe anything was rectified during our stay.
We'd also requested housekeeping service an hour later one day, and they never ended up showing after confirming they would. We also unfortunately found a mouse on the outdoor grill counter as we were prepping to use it.
I definitely recognize and appreciate all the staff working diligently to keep the hotel running, but it's undeniable some things are amiss for this 4-star hotel. The front desk failed to pick up the phone any of the times we called.; and on the day of our departure, I requested a checkout one hour later and the front desk rep turned it down citing other guests' arrival - baring in mind this was Halloween morning and the hotel looked barely near capacity. After bringing up all the other inconveniences that bothered us during our stay, the rep offered a dismissive "OK" and left it at that. My family and I enjoyed the island greatly, but the nonchalant attitude at the front desk on our last day left a bad taste in our mouth. We will not be returning to Divi and would not recommend to others.

This was our first stay with Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort, and our 15 trip to Beautiful Aruba. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly. I would suggest that the towel hut around the pool be staffed thru out the day so towels would be available to pick up and return. And I would like to suggest that "the mess" from the Iguana's around the pool be cleaned up thru out the day.
