The Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort is lauded for its cleanliness and vibrant atmosphere, although the lively music can sometimes be too much for guests seeking tranquility. The staff's service is generally well-received, particularly the experiences offered on Flamingo Island, but some visitors mention occasional issues with room preparedness and slow service.
While the rooms and amenities receive mixed reviews, the resort's prime location is a highlight for many. However, noise disturbances and concerns over value for money do temper the overall satisfaction.

Location location location !!! Its beautiful. The lobby is everything and the service was EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you Shem who checked us in and ensure my Daugther had a beautiful room with a view of the ocean for her 25th Birthday. I am very big on customer service, and this resort surpassed my expectations.
When a pipe broke and shut off the entire water supply to 2/3 of our rooms and this was out of the hotel control. This resort and team took the responsibility and accountability to ensure we were taken care of and all of their guests. We got additional hospitality rooms with running water for our showers to use since my daugther loved the rooms Shem had given us and she did not want to move to the different location or the new rooms we were offered.
Shem worked I believe for 12-16 hrs to ensure not only us, but all of the guest were all satisfied. He checked in on us the following day also. Deidre took over the next day and she was also amazing. Again this incident was unavoidable and no fault of the hotel, but they took the responsibility, and brought in a team who worked endlessly to fix this issue.
Even with low tide when the private island boat could not leave from the lobby, they ensure the boat left at the same times at a location across the street. The Flamingo island was an experience and the restaurants were great. Thank you Marriott Wind Creek Aruba for an exceptional stay

We visited the resort for our honeymoon for 5 days in April and 5 days was certainly not enough! The whole experience was perfect, the service was amazing with extremely friendly staff, which is the thing that made the trip memorable. From the moment you arrive to the hotel, the front staff greet you and are ready to assist with anything including calling a taxi or the shuttle that goes between the 2 buildings. Check-in was smooth and it was very easy to ask questions to all the staff that were more than willing to guide you and make the vacation go smooth. The food was great (we tried Fresco, Papagayo, Aquarius and LG Steakhouse) and we were impressed at how good the food was and there was lots of variety. The restaurant staff was also great, very welcoming and explained the options available to us since we took the all-inclusive. Another bonus of Aruba is that the tap water is safe to drink, which was a huge factor in why we chose Aruba as our destination and I do not regret it at all.
We decided to stay on the Ocean Suites (family side) and really enjoyed it as it has more of a beachy/resort vibe than the adult's only side which overlooks the road. We visited the private island for 2 days and it was fantastic, only minor downside is that it is a bit hard to find shaded areas if you get there later in the morning. There is wifi everywhere on the resort, even on the private island which was very useful. The staff are really great on the beach and come see you often for drink/food orders. The shopping at the Marina side was great and the casino was super fun! Our room was perfect for our needs, lots of room, clean and very quiet.
I now understand why so many people choose to come back to this resort many times - it is great! Thanks again to all the wonderful staff for the most amazing honeymoon, we will definitely be back!

Resort with every comfort, spacious rooms and attention to every detail. Super friendly staff, great food quality (special mention to the Steakhouse and Acquarius, really top). Flamingo Beach and Iguana Beach bordering on perfection for cleanliness and care, we toured some of the island’s beaches but they are not comparable to the Resort’s private beaches. They gave us the opportunity after check out to take full advantage of the half day available by providing us with a Hospitality room to be able to take a shower and prepare for the trip. Resort Rating 10/10

My husband and I spent the last three days of our Aruba vacation at the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort after a week at the Tamarijn, an all-inclusive Divi resort. We chose the Renaissance for its central location, perfect for exploring the city, shopping, and enjoying diverse restaurants.
The resort’s location is ideal for anyone wanting to experience Aruba’s city life. The surrounding garden area is beautifully manicured, creating a tranquil atmosphere amidst the city. We loved that we could walk to the heart of the city from the resort in a safe, lively environment.
A highlight of the Renaissance is the private island with its flamingos, pelicans, and scenic boat rides. The boats, which run regularly, were well-maintained, and the drivers were polite, skilled, and thorough with safety instructions. However, as ocean lovers, we were disappointed by the beaches. Unlike the clear, rock-free waters at other Aruba beaches, the ocean here was rocky and a little murky, making it uncomfortable and less enjoyable to swim. We also weren’t informed that snorkel gear rentals stopped after 4 p.m., which limited our late afternoon plans.
The rooms at the Renaissance are spacious and beautifully designed, but we encountered significant issues. The first room (2203) had a strong sewage smell from the moment we arrived. Although a staff member attempted to treat the odor with a liquid neutralizer twice, it was a temporary fix, and the smell returned, prompting us to change rooms. The next room (2251) was also affected by the smell. My husband’s clever trick of covering the vents with towels and running the fan continuously reduced the odor but did not eliminate it. Additionally, the bed in our first room was quite noisy, disrupting sleep whenever one of us moved.
Noise was another drawback. While it’s great to see the staff enjoy their work, their morning conversations and laughter were loud enough to wake us up daily. The thin walls also made us aware of late-night celebrations in neighboring rooms, making it difficult to relax.
Overall, Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort has a lot going for it with its convenient location, lovely aesthetics, and private island experience. However, issues like the rocky beach, pervasive sewage smell, and noise disruptions significantly impacted our stay.

We arrived and I expected a grand hotel for the $700 a day price they charge but that’s not what you get. It’s a nice hotel , definitely not worth the overpriced rooms. Check in is smooth we got to our room it looked clean upon walking in however I like to take my shoes off and walk around barefoot. The floor was Sticky and had hairs on the floor. They definitely don’t sweep or mop. My wife cleaned the hairs off the floors. We didn’t complain and after a shower would use the wet towel to clean the floors and let me tell you they definitely haven’t mopped in ages. $700 a day and it has dirty floors that’s unacceptable. The food was good in Aquarius (Buffet breakfast) I don’t understand why they have Wait staff when you get your own food and drinks? There is a 17% service fee included on all bills however they still ask for more gratuity? L.G. steakhouse food and service is Great. Absolutely delicious and worth the price expect to pay a minimum of $150 per person. Lots of shopping in the area that’s a Plus. We will not be staying here again because you pay but don’t get anything.

Good hotel. But if you are loosing at the all inclusive option, go somewhere else. You need to sign, print your name and room number on each receipt for EVERYTHING including a bottle of water, snacks, dinner, EVERYTHING. The Italian restaurant is not good, and the steak house reeks of artificial smoke. The artificial smoke is on everything including the vegetables. I have looked forward to staying in the Renaissance for many years and was disappointed.

The check in process wasn't as smooth. The lines were long. No one offered the guest(s) any comp waters etc. I understand there is a max amount of guests in a room on the adult side however I feel if you have one person over the amount allowed perhaps the resort may offer a fee for the additional one person instead of offering the family side which is extremely expensive.
The resort offered L.G. Smith's Steak & Chop House closed at 11pm since we were a group of 20 plus guests (females and males African American) the bartender immediately called security-he said he felt threatened. However we never gotten a change to order anything to say anything to anyone to feel threatened. Perhaps because we were a group of 20 plus guests African American females and males maybe that's why he felt threatened. I asked for a manager-the manager arrived but nothing was done besides us leaving due to this experience.
The flamingo beach private island was amazing-the customer service was outstanding. Thanks to the entire staff along with Lizeth. This experience outweighed the bad experience, racial profiling and discrimination we experienced.

This hotel is in a busy location. If you like shopping this is your place. But if you want good sleep and rest I’d look elsewhere. Be prepared for loud music and loud tourist filled buses going by late into the evening yelling. The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming. The pool was beautiful, warm and inviting. The sister hotels pools were very clean and beautiful also. If you want a cabana with a chair get there early! Flamingo island was pretty and clean. Dislikes for the price you pay. We arrived on a Friday to find the escalator broken. It stayed broken for 3 days. Until a large group arrived. No water available for the first several days. But at the sister resort you could find three different flavored waters available. They do offer free beverages on certain days which was a nice treat. They did have a special drink for the big group that arrived. Regular guests were not allowed a drink this day even though it was in the lobby. Yes I asked and was told no I needed to be part of the group. We had to walk across the street for the first several days to get to the flamingo island. They didn’t offer the boat shuttle in our resort till the end of our stay. Unfortunately we would not stay here again. We picked this hotel for our 20 anniversary and let’s be honest I wanted to see the flamingos. I believe for the price you will pay you could get a quieter more relaxed location with working amenities. If you’re looking for a fun place to party this is it.

We had a family vacation over New Years at the Renaissance (3 rooms). From the minute we arrived to our departure, the service could not have been better. A team of managers met us immediately upon our arrival, with welcome drinks, a tour of the property and answers to a wide range of questions. This team, lead by the incomparable Tiffany, the lead concierge, was superb through our stay. Chris helped us with our luggage as did other bell men. We were blown away at our arrival. We’re used to staying at phenomenal hotels around the world (in fact the prior week we returned from a super vacation in Southeast Asia), but our greeting at the the Renaissance in Curacao matched any of our trips over the last decade.
Aside from our greeting team, the other people we encountered on the hotel staff were equally superb. In particular, at breakfast Angie and Siegraida were amazing servers, couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. And the omelette and smoothie makers, respectively Martina and isabel were always smiling and looking forward to starting the guests’ days off with a great breakfast. The woman overseeing the towels on the beach was also always so friendly and so were the housekeepers. And all the bell staff were quick to call us cabs to bring us to dinner or arrange a driver for an outing.
The rooms were perfect for our kids and grandkids. We thought we were getting an ocean view room, but the ocean was only barely visible from our room. That disappointment was pretty marginal given the friendliness and helpfulness of the rest of the staff. Another little hiccup occurred the day before we left. Tiffany found us and mentioned that one of the housekeepers had accidentally dropped and broke a ceramic gift for one of the grandkids. We hadn’t even known it yet, but Tiffany was quick to tell us she’d have someone go into town and buy another one - which someone quickly did. Amazing service. Amazing people. Thanks Tiffany. Thanks everybody. The staff and great facilities (two wonderful pools, etc) make this hotel special. Don’t miss it.

After much research and reading many reviews, we decided on the Ocean Suites hotel vs the Adult Only Marina hotel. The ocean suites property, pool and easy access to Renaissance Island was the best decision we could have made! I booked the all-inclusive breakfast package which was well worth it. We had a balcony and an amazing view which is important to us. We would have been seriously disappointed if we booked the adults only marina hotel which has no balcony, limited views and is closed in. The pool is very small. I guess you stay there if you plan to go shopping at high end stores which is the same as staying at a casino hotel in the US. Service is inconsistent throughout the hotel. The best service is at the Renaissance Island. The staff appear to have more experience. The swim up pool bar is the hotels main area for entertainment. After 7pm, there is no entertainment, however there are many restaurants in walking distance, in addition to the casino which is very clean. This is for restaurant management at Sole. It should not have taken 2 hrs to get our food, the bartender, JC knew it, realized after the fact, then apologized and gave us drink credit. Unfortunately, when this is the 1st experience, while waiting for your room, it does not leave a good taste in your mouth and not welcoming at all! The pool service is directed more to the drinkers so they can generate tips. However, the pool itself is amazing but the hotel staff do not appear as "Happy' as everyone makes it out to be. Thank you to the housekeeper, Juney who opened my door, after I forgot my key, apparently this is a "No, No," in Aruba hotels and many strict rules imposed on them.
We experienced eating at Fresco, Renaissance Island and Aquarius. We found the food and buffet were much better at the Ocean Suites hotel. They have a dilemma with the birds trying to take your food. Honestly, the restaurant should be providing covers for your food, not your napkins which was annoying when you get up and find the birds are eating your food. Food at Sole & Fresco are adequate, clean & delious. There is only one bar at Fresco, nothing inside the hotel lobby, room service was great since they can bring you glasses of wine, not in disposable cups. Room service menu and prices are the same as going to the restaurant which is a really nice feature to avoid walking all the way to the Fresco restaurant bar and back upstairs. We would definitely return just to go to the Renaissance Flamingo Island and private cabana we booked ahead of time!

Pros and cons - and the decision definitely will shape your vacation…we chose the all-inclusive and it was a very good deal (from a cost perspective), BUT it did mean - and this is the con - that we didn’t go out to explore the area or eat at outside restaurants, so your vacation will likely then be almost completely centered around the resort. Which was lovely, but might not be what you are looking for.
Everyone sees the flamingos. When we went last week, they provided a small cup of flamingo food at each table, so anyone can see and feed the flamingos. I would highly recommend this experience for both kids and adults.
