Top notch. Greeting, check-in, room, service, cleanness, room, bathroom, everything. Coffee machine malfunctioning was taken care of in no time. Trip to a private flamingo island was an absolutely remarkable experience. Overall - exceptional!
My husband and I vacationed at the Renaissance Wind Creek and we don't have any complaints! The main reason we chose to stay here was for Flamingo Island. We were impressed by the rest! We stayed on the Marina side (adults only) and it was very nice and the rooms seemed to be recently updated. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. The boat to take you to the private island picks you up inside the hotel in front of Starbucks which was really cool. I believe they said if the water is too high/low they don't do this, and you would have to walk across the street to catch the boat. But even if you did, you literally just cross the street and the dock is right there so it wouldn't be a big deal. The private beach with the flamingos was super cool. We rented a private cabana one day and it was amazing. It came with a bottle of prosecco, water and a fruit platter. Be sure to bring American quarters to get food to feed the flamingos (and the iguanas like this food too we found out). We found the best time to feed the flamingos was a little before noon and later afternoon around 4ish. The only thing I wasn't expecting was how the beaches were at the resort. It wasn't a big deal since it was just my husband and I but if we would've had our 4 small children, we would have had to drive somewhere different to go to the beach. All the beaches have a small contained area which are then blocked by big rocks from the ocean so there's no where to "play in the waves" because these natural pool type things they form don't have waves. Again, I enjoyed it because you could float in the "ocean" without being knocked by big waves or worry about creatures under you :) but my kids would have been disappointed with no waves to play in or ride boogie boards in. I heard Eagle Beach and Baby Beach were good options for this, but we'd have to drive there. The pool bars have happy hour from 4:30-6pm every day where most every drink is half off. The wait staff is attentive without being over bearing. We had better service at the family side pool as opposed to the adult pool which was kind of surprising. All the food we had was excellent. We never had a bad meal. We walked across the street to the Marketplace and ate at Casa Tua and the Mexican place. They were both very good. They have live music everywhere so that makes it a fun atmosphere. We did a UTV and Natural Pools tour through De Palm Tours and it was awesome! Highly recommend!! Be prepared that things may be closed on Sunday. If you want to book a car/moped, do so ahead of time because they book out fast and won't be available when you get there. The ONLY negative part of our trip was Aruba's airport when we were leaving. It's ridiculous. It takes foreverrrrrr. We are from Atlanta so we know crazy airports lol. They give you a color code of when to check in for your departing flight and they do this for a reason. They know they take forever to get you through. Our check in time frame was 11:30-1pm (our flight left at 3:45pm). We got there at 12:20 and it took 2 hours to get to our gate. We thought it was comical how when you're standing in this looooong line OUTSIDE that takes forever, there's 3 employees with signs that say "skip the line" and what that means is paying $130 per person and they will take you to the front. There's 4 different long lines you stand in so I'm assuming they take you to the front of all the lines. We were saying how they make these lines so long so they can make more money and how if they would just put those 3 people to work this line would move way faster. Again, not a huge deal since it was just the two of us but if you have young kids, be prepared in taking snacks and whatnot. And be prepared to be standing outside in the heat for a while.…
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The staff was great and our housekeeper Candida was such a sweet heart and so kind to my daughters. There isn’t enough words to describe how much we love it here We’ll definitely be back!
I was extremely disappointed with the hotel. The property is not well maintained - the rooms and bathrooms are very small, and have a damp unclean feel to them. The pool area is really small with very limited seating, but the gym was nice, well staffed and clean. The front desk staff were unkind and unprofessional. When I politely asked them to add my Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite number (the first time) to our room/account, I was told that I would not get credit for the stay because we were on a group convention rate. I have stayed at literally hundreds of Marriott properties around the world, often on group rates, and I have never heard that policy. I went back the next day, and the gentleman at the front desk said he would add it (yet to be confirmed). I have also stayed at the Hyatt in Aruba and it's a much better property and experience, as are the Ritz Carlton and the Hilton. …
We stayed on the Marina Adult Side. The family friendly beach side is 5 minute walk down the road. The Marina side is very nice, clean and modern. The private island boat pick up is inside the hotel which was super cool (this is the first place the boat picks up too so getting a seat wasn't an issue). The hotel is fused with shopping and casino. The pool at the marina side is small and not resort-like but guests are able to go to the "beach side" to use the pool. That side is a little more traditional in regards to a resort, although I wouldn't call this side having a beach either. We did not do the all inclusive. The property food we tried was great but there is plenty of restaurants nearby within walking distance. This hotel felt safe and staff was very welcoming. Taxis are easily available (bring cash). The hotel's private island is included and really is the highlight of booking at this hotel. The island was amazing and resort-like. We went 3 times in our 5 day trip. There is a short nature trail you can walk on the island (20 minutes round trip). The waters where you swim were clear and beautiful. The island has food, drinks, towels, floats and snorkels. We did not rent a cabana and it was fine but if you want one rent it very early. Plenty of chairs! My only disappointment was my massage that I got at the Marina side hotel. It was NOT worth it. The lady massaged like an amateur. Overall I would recommend and go back to this hotel. …
What an amazing experience we had with Marriott Renaissance Wind Creek! Greeted with a smile and a refreshing lemonade (pretty sure with rum ;)) drink and ease of transporting us to our ocean suites location across the street facing the sea with crystal blue waters. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable with plenty of storage, half sea view and half market place view from the balcony which allowed us to watch live entertainment nightly from our balcony as well the arrival or departures of cruises which was very impressive! Our favorite is going to the private islands via boat from inside the resort, out to the sea 15 min ride, arriving to paradise (see photos below) greeted with the best hostess Brishelle who gave us first timers her guidance and any assistance. Then heading to the adults side with flamingos to feed and take pictures with or you can explore family side with plenty of kids fun activities and iguanas. If you prefer your own space you can book your own hut over the water and private service for a nice few $$. The resort is walking distance from downtown (heart of it really) and all the different local markets, great restaurants and of course indoor mall with high end brands. My favorite restaurant was West Deck walking distance from the resort with great seafood, entertainment and favorite local Aruban beer Balashi, Chill or Mango beer - must try!…
Extremely clean, food was great and service the best. Special shout out to our server Vanie at the island restaurant and the chef there Irving who makes fabulous salads. I have visited before and worried it wouldn’t be as good as I remembered. It was better. Peter our server at the cocktail bar also needs a mention, what a memory. I will definitely return next year!
We just got back from our honeymoon in Aruba! The highlight of our trip was flamingo beach. The island is quiet and private, not over crowded and many photo oops with the flamingos. Our server Ricardo was amazing! He was on his A game and we never had to search for him, very personable and professional. The key to pictures with the flamingos is get lots of good for them at the machine!
Omg what can I say.Our experience was perfect. The staff and ppl I In Aruba in general are so nice and friendly. We stayed at the adult only marina hotel . The resort was gorgeous and the private island only accesable to hotel guest was completely breath taking. We got to see the flamingos and feed them . The food and drinks were perfection. Dont hesitate! We 100 percent recomment. We will definitely be returning!
Just amazing!! We loved everything about this hotel. We stayed at the Marina side, adults only for 6 nights. We went to the flamingo island 2 times both great! I love the fact that it was not over crowded!! Plenty of chairs to relax and just enjoy the island life. The boats come and go every 15 mins. No long wait. We visit both pools adults only and the ocean suites, both very nice, but our favorite was ours - adults only. The views are just remarkable! Also, we had the best experience eating there. Our waitress MARGARETH at the flamingo island restaurant was just wonderful. She was not only helpful with the menu, but was happy and warm. She truly enjoys her job and it’s great at it. She always made sure we were well taken care of. It was nice chatting to her about her island, family and delicious food. This hotel is pricy, but worth every penny! Just the flamingo island itself is something memorable. The entire island experience for us was just amazing. Definitely one happy island and our favorite so far. We have visit a few lol. We loved everything about this hotel and island. The ppl, food, nature! Just truly amazing!!!…
