I think this spot is great for families to completely rent out. The fact that there is a door that remains locked (requires a key) to get outside makes the hotel safe and secure. You would definitely need a rental vehicle as there aren't many options for eating within walking distance. Since this location is in the middle of the city, I would highly suggest a rental car to explore the city. The hotel provides shuttle service to/from the airport for an additional fee. I booked through Expedia, a hotel employee reached out to me to ensure they would be available for me to check-in on Sunday (they only work half days on Sunday). The bathroom is a bit cramped on space, but very clean. As is the room. The only upset is that other guests were pretty loud early the next morning. This could be troublesome if you're a late sleeper.

We took this hotel because we were in transit and in Aruba overnight. We were pleasantly surprised. It is built like a hacienda with an outside wall and the rooms inside. The room had a full kitchen and supplies and a table. The bedroom had a full-size sofa and dresser and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was small but had everything you need. The place was immaculate. Clean enough to notice it was cleaner than normal. There is a lovely pool and courtyard. There is a grocery store nearby. If I was coming to visit Aruba, I wouldn't stay here, prefering to be by the ocean, but if you had a car and wanted to save money and didn't mind the 20 minutes to Eagle beach, I think it would be a great value.

Family with teenager stayed 4 nights in February at Juanedu. Highly recommend: new, clean, spacious, comfortable beds, great kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, dishes) and great bathroom. The room and the space in general was larger than you would find in hotels. Located in a residential area in Oranjestad few min. from the airport. Has a very nice pool and outdoor sitting areas and also laundry facility. You definitely need a car (parking outside is spacious). Front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. The value is very good for Aruba.

Omg they use the strongest industrial strength grandma-perfume in the rooms - instant headache. All the rooms are surrounding the pool where there are loud people until like 2am and then their kids are playing/screaming in the pool at 7am. Hot water only lasts for around 30 seconds and then it's room temperature (cold enough that I was miserable & had goosebumps). We told the staff who told us that the hot water lasts 2minutes and 7 seconds if you shower in the morning rather than night. Hahaa! Ok! 50 minute walk to the restaurant/shopping area or $18 taxi. No shampoo, only a sad little bar of cheap made-in-China soap. Lots of mosquitos.

The staff was nice, the hotel is clean, and it looks nice, but there wasn't hot water! (Room 3) And the staff wasn't willing to fix it. After a long day in the sun, and swimming in the salty ocean, you want a good shower before bed, We'd get about 90 seconds of hot water, Then, lukewarm water. For the amount of money we were paying, we shouldn't have goose bumps when we were showering. First night we showered after 8:00pm, so no one was there to speak with since the office is closed. Day two staff told us we needed to jingle the handle, we figure it was our error so we tried it, still nothing. Day 3, they came in and said they'd look at the gas... they didn't fix it. We asked to be moved and they said all the rooms we like this and they were bringing someone out. Day 4, they said someone would be be out in 2 hours. Not sure if they showed since we left for the day. But, we had the issue. When we checked out, they never once apologized or addressed it. Pretty upsetting. The hotel is also pretty far from the central tourist area, but they do offer rental cars for $45/day.
