We stayed here as our daughter had given us a gift voucher for a Christmas present. The room was very comfortable and met our needs but I do think it was a little expensive. The restaurant was lovely and very intimate and the food was absolutely divine, neither of us can remember when we last had such a wonderful meal.... More

We attended a wedding here and, as we live the best part of 300 miles way, we stayed overnight for 2 nights B&B. For the price that we paid I feel that the accommodation was pretty average. Breakfast was good, especially the bacon. The only reason we stayed was to attend the wedding. Having stayed I would not bother again.

Stayed her for a special treat and it was perfect. The staff realised that our stay was a birthday treat and made it extra special with an upgrade and a birthday card. Wonderfully thoughtful. The setting is magical, the room was perfect and dinner was exquisite. This review won't criticise anything because there's nothing to criticise - everything was just... More

The only thing I can say is WOW!!! Absolutely top notch food and a wonderful dining experience. Service was slick, but not overpowering, the wine list was excellent, and establishment is a credit to the owners. A must....................

The establishment blends a friendly environment with a bit of style and luxury. The rooms are well styled with one to suit all budgets. We stayed in the grainhouse and would recommend it. The food is fantastic with a winelist to suit. The ingredients are local and treated with the respect they deserve and combined into well balanced yummy plates... More

Lovely location and building but I don't think id rush to return. Think the food is very overpriced for what it is, as I wasn't blown away by the food. Although the vegetable soup I had for starter was lovely. Another disappointment was how cold it was in the room where we ate. Nearly had to put my coat on.

The staff here were excellent throughout our stay. We were upgraded to the garden suite, which was a nice touch. The room was spacious and bright. However, a tad on the dusty side. The bathroom had a rain shower which was great. Staff were accommodating with a vegetarian cooked breakfast and were flexible with the check out time. It would... More

Came for a one night stay on business and felt straight away that I should come back again with my wife and kids. In a backdrop of rolling hills and set in fascinating grounds, this unique hotel and restaurant is a sanctuary of taste and comfort where you feel truly looked after. After a warm welcome from Amanda I was... More
