It's a lovely setting, with a great building and a nice garden. Quiet room and fine for staying in whilst on a work trip. I liked the food as well, though I'm not much of a foodie. But not all perfect: the rooms needed some attention. My bedside light had no lightbulb, one of the wall sockets didn't work properly,... More

What a find! We stayed on a ridiculously cheap Travelzoo deal of £89 for dinner bed and breakfast plus a bottle of wine and an additional £20 to make it a Friday night stay. We even took the kids and did not get you usual surcharge and problems. They bent over backwards for us and we have a great night,... More

We stayed with a Travel Zoo deal which was very good value for money. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. We had a really large well presented room overlooking the patio outside the bar but as we were the last to leave the bar this did not interfere with our sleep! The evening meal was excellent with a good menu... More

The views are stunning, Hotel is ok, Rooms are basic, dinner & lunch were ok. I had a fatty steak and awful chips, I did complain but it came to nothing. Good breakfast.Waiting Staff have facial piercings that are not covered. Bar bill was wrong (in my favour). No WiFi. Unfortunately the bad put weighs the good.

Met up with friends we hadn't seen for a while, they suggested this hotel as they live nearby, on arrival we were greeted by a friendly member of staff and shown to our table. The menu for lunch was a little better than the normal fare and we were efficiently served with drinks and our order taken, without too much... More

Despite a seemingly good deal via Travelzoo we were very disappojnted with our 2 night stay at this hotel. Our room was large and the bed was comfotable but some of the fittings were broken and overall in need of an update. There was no soap or bath/shower gel in the bath. Dinner was very average and in spite of... More

We stayed following a great night of live music with the above band. The 3 course meal was hot, fresh and ample portions. Dan and his young team were friendly, helpful and enthusiatic. Well Done guys! Our room was small and dated but had a fabulous view over the gardens and hills beyond. Really poor quilt and pillows, although linen... More

We had the pleasure of staying at this Hotel via a booking we made on Travelzoo. From the moment we arrived the staff were pleasant and friendly. The upgraded room we received on our arrival set the tone for the rest of the stay. The premises is charming with a feeling that you are staying in a country home. The... More

I had not stayed in the Maes Manor for over 30 years, so very nostalgic going back, first visits were numerous over a 12 month period. Driving up the drive and seeing the hotel after all those years brought it all back, beautiful garden, pleasant looking hotel externally had hardly changed at all. Internally there were changes to the restaurant... More

Beautiful grounds and impressive driveway... Sadly most of it ended there ! Young lady on reception,I think her name was Chloe, was lovely and could have been more helpful . Room 11 was increadably hot with no ventilation and a very inadequate fan ...! With both windows wide open horrible noise from generator on roof outside combined with the fan ....unbelievably...
