Called in for lunch, menu is not extensive but a fair selection of different mains from curry, scampi, fish, lasagne, chicken etc. Wasn't offered a starter or dessert so not sure if they serve these. I had Chicken Korma and hubby had fish and chips. Food took around 20 mins from ordering and was well presented. It was tasty enough... More

Thanks for you comments, we agree that for £5 our main meals are good value and appropriately portioned. We dont offer starters but do have a small selection of deserts on the back of the menu. Hope to see you again soon :) More

Went for Sunday lunch this week and can honestly say it rates as one of the worst meals I have ever had. The food was less than mediocre and cold. The food was tasteless and the gravy like glue. No starters and the so call ice cream sundaes were in a sundae glass in a plastic container like you would... More

Thanks for your response, I have passed your comments to the Kitchen. We are not part of the Brewers Fayre Chain - We are independent and family run. Our car park has been cleaned and weeded but we have to do this on a weekday morning as its full of customers cars at all other times :) More

Came here to watch the Wales game last week. Living down the road it's lovely to have a nice friendly local in walking distance. The atmosphere was amazing, with the whole pub being absolutely filled with excited fans and families. The outdoor decking was stunning, and was perfect in the lovely weather. Was going to try some of there homemade... More

Very friendly owners. Welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely stay again. Room very clean and comfortable. Do not listen to previous reviews, as I couldn't recommend it enough. For a bar and a hotel very reasonable and friendly, and noise is at a minimal.

Went to the Lodge on Saturday 19 March lots of people there and match was on. The staff had no control over children, they were riding small scooters through the bar running over customers feet. It won't be long before there is a claim if the staff allow customers to let their kids do what they like, last time here... More
