Stayed at The Burrow for two nights, and boy do I wish we could have stayed longer! The house is very old and filled with antique furniture and beautiful little trinkets. Would that I could have been a child in that house, every time I rounded a corner I would get distracted by a new, beautiful thing and with the... More

I never actually got to stay here as they refused my debit card payment on two occasions. I then after attempting twice to pre-authorise my card with them and being told it wasn't working, informed them that I DIDN'T have an alternative card. Then two days later I had £78 removed from my account by them so all along my... More

Dear Alex, You booked a room through Booking.com. You were advised that it is our policy to preauthorise your card. We tried to preauthorise your card but this was declined. We asked you to supply another card and once again this was declined. We asked you if you intended to honour your reservation. You stated that you did not have... More

Guest house is located in an old building and it's designed in an old style as well. It's clean. And these are the only adventages. Building is old, so you can hear every whisper of your neighbours. And also private bathroom doesn't mean it's bathroom inside your room, so you need to go outside to take a bath - sorry.... More

Dear Madam, We are of course very disappointed at your negative review. I am afraid that when choosing The Burrow you chose wrongly for the following reasons: You chose a room with private external bathroom and this was clear from the onset. You could have chosen an en-suite if this suited your requirements better. We are proud of our breakfast... More

Our stay at The Burrow was delightful. We stayed in the Suite which was lovely. The room and bathroom was clean, but could use a daily sweep & mop (please don't the staff does not attend to your room daily unless requested). We drove ourselves and didn't have any difficulty finding the location on our GPS (Google Maps), but occasionally... More

Loved this place. We had the suite - four poster bed and other gorgeous period furniture. Lots of room if you are travelling with a baby or children. Really reasonably priced accommodation, especially when you see how gorgeous the building is. Very secure too with two swipe-card entries as well as key to room. Breakfast was delicious - loved the... More

We booked three nights at The Burrow to add a few extra days to a family holiday, just my partner and I. The Burrow can be tricky to find, and the Tarxien one-way system takes a bit of getting used to, but once you're there, it's a great place to stay. Chiara welcomed us in and helped us to our... A one night stay which in all honesty was not much more than a bedding down as we arrived late and flew off early. Big stone walled room with loads of character but perhaps a little bit over the top with ornamentation. Great to look at but a bit difficult to get round. I'm thankful that I was not there... More

My husband and I recently stayed at The Burrow in Tarxien. It was absolutely brilliant, it's stunning and the lady that runs it is so friendly and helpful. We really had a brilliant time and already miss those delicious continental breakfasts!

We stayed here as a cheeky extra day in Malta and it didn't disappoint!! Where to start? Chiara, our host, is a lovely lady - very friendly (in the nicest way, no saccharine gushing here!) and went out of her way to accommodate our arrival, delayed tho it was by the driver from our previous 5* accommodation! The building itself... More
