The Chateau provided a warm, comfortable stay for our family group for only one night, unfortunately. Elisabeth made us welcome and steered us to the Auberge de l'Abbaye in the nearby town for dinner. We had an excellent night's sleep in the period rooms, and enjoyed a generous breakfast. The hosts have spent over 30 years restoring the Chateau and...

You will be received by very kind owners. When you arrive it is a magnificent view. Both the hotel building and surroundings. Inside its like a museum. Same for the rooms. We stayed one night. And went the next day to Reims for a champagne tour. Would not stay longer then 2 or 3 nights. Breakfast is super. You sit...

Authentic small chateau in peaceful landscape. Nice owners, very helpful (organised a bicycle for us immediately). Excellent restauarnt in the village nearby (l'Auberge de l'abbeye). magnificent view in the parc or over the wide landscape.

We truly loved out stay at Chateau Montabois! From the exceptional Marie Antoinette room that really made us feel like we were in a novel by Dumas to the wonderfully relaxing castle garden where we enjoyed picnics and champagne, the Chateau is just enchanting. Don't expect a grand Loire chateau, Montabois is on a more human scale, but the views...

I very much enjoyed staying here. The owners are passionate about their home and are a joy to be with as they have an excellent sense of humour. Jean Francois ensures you enjoy his home and, unless you are used to living in such luxury, you will find it a fairly unique B&B experience. A lavish breakfast was the icing...

We took advantage of the two night b&b package which included a gastronomic meal in a local restaurant; it was excellent value. It's a lovely chateau, each room carefully restored by the owners in a 'labour of love' over a period of several years. On arrival we were given a small bottle of champagne which was a nice touch. Our...

We stayed at the Chateau with other family member to celebrate a birthday and it was great. Not only is the Chateau beautifully renovated, but the owners are very welcoming and are so passionate about their property it is difficult not to love the place. We stayed in a beautiful room ( suite Du Barry), and the day after the...

Arriving at the Chateau de Montaubois was a bit of an adventure as it was a little difficult to find it. But a really beautiful adventure, through the Ardenne -Champagne area! We saw the beautiful 18th century building surrounded by green fields, as soon as we arrived at the Chateau de Montaubois. Jean-Francois and his wife Elizabeth were very happy...
