The hotel is ideal when arriving/leaving at the taxi brousse station. There are a number of room types on offer from bare-bone and cheap to mid level and reasonably nice - all are decent value. Good for a night, but not for lingering on. Better rooms are on the first floor and we think worth the extra. Wifi is available,...

This was one of my favourite places out of all 10 that I stayed, the staff were excellent! Very basic accommodation but I didn't mind, it did the job and I slept well. We had a big party in the restaurant we all had the best time there was dancers there who were great, we all got up and joined...

The hotel has basic rooms, quite dark (there's only a small window) and a bit outdated. There's free WiFi in the restaurant. We had one dinner and one breakfast and the food was good in both occasions: tasty Malagasy food in the night and nice croissants in the morning. It works for a night, but lacks character.

Our tour group of 9 stopped here for lunch on our drive from Isalo National Park to Fianarantsoa. We did not stay in the hotel. The food is of average quality--nothing to write home about. It is definitely on the tourist circuit, and as such, after eating, we were taken to the Antaimoro paper factory located nearby.

We spent a night here in our chained bungalow amongst the abundantly flourishing bougainvillas. Very quiet and well-maintained place, fantastic for viewing stars in the evening due to little light pollution... which was due to a partial power cut on our night there. The kitchen still managed however, and the food was great. Unfortunately, there was a water outage as...

We did not stay in the hotel but stopped in for a spot of lunch to break our drive up Route 7. We managed to get a table on the outside verandah under the Bougainvillia and had a very pleasant and tasty salad and omelette. The restaurant was busy with tour groups.

Our group of 15 stayed at Aux Bougainvillees for the one night that we were in Ambalavao. Given some of the lukewarm reviews in TA and the fact that this was one of the more basic hotels we would be staying in during our 5 weeks in country, we were a bit apprehensive. And we thought that coming immediately from...

Very pretty hotel with nice clean rooms with hot water, electricity and mosquito nets. Only downside is no door on bathroom so you get to know your room mate well! Wifi free but gets turned off overnight. Hotel has paper making museum and shop. Restaurant food was nice with good selection of veggie and meat dishes. Reasonable prices.

Stayed here for one night on our way to the south. The resort is quite charming, the rooms are simple and spotlessly clean. We did not have running water as there was a water shortage and the whole town had been without water for 5 days, but the staff did everything possible to support our cleanliness by supplying bucket after...

We visited the factory on Sunday. Not really in operation. The place is nice to see but not shocking. May be more interesting on weekdays. There are shops in the neighborhood who sell the products. Okay, but not special.
