A very clean and comfortable guest house. The landlady is very welcoming and helpful with all the local knowledge to share. It is an ideal centre to use as a base whether you choose to explore the island on foot, by car or , with bus stops and railway stations close by, by public transport.

We as a family have been visiting the Isle of Wight for over 30 years, On this particular occasion we required a Guesthouse/Hotel suite for our stay. It was a simple phone call to book 4 rooms and the prices were unbeatable. The rooms were excellent and as much as could be expected from a guesthouse, A review before this...

We had stayed here about 8 years ago but could not remember what it was like. As soon as we walked in the door we knew, nothing had been changed it is in bad need of a update. We were taken to our room which was a suite, a small box with 2 seater sofa and small chair, there was...

We decided to spend a few days away for a bit of R & R and chose the Isle of Wight as we both love the Island. We had found Osterley Lodge on the Isle of Wight Website and decided it was in an ideal location (a lovely costal walk to either Shanklin or Sandown). Mrs Horton was really lovely...

This was our fourth visit to the Isle of Wight, and for the fourth time we chose to stay at this really cosy friendly guest house. Mrs and Mrs Horton have always been polite, and accommodating. We like the place because it's very quiet, especially at night, even though it's on a main road. Our comfortable, good sized, clean room...

Found Osterley Lodge by accident! Were heading into Shanklin when we spotted the delightful exterior of Osterley Lodge. Quick U-turn & decided to see if they had a suitable room available. We were right to stop!. This place is a gem. Really comfy room overlooking the delightful back garden, which guests are free to use. Luckily the weather was kind...

We planned to stay for 5 nights in Osterley Lodge, but we end up running away on the second morning. The owners need basic rules of customer service for sure simply based on an extremely poor reception and replying to the honest reviews on this page. It looks like the words 'apology' or 'sorry' do not exist in their dictionary....

This guest mentioned when she booked that she would be arriving late, which was not a problem for us. She phoned while en route and did not seem to have any idea about catamaran/train/bus service times so I looked them up and phoned her back with them. My husband waited up and showed her quietly to her room overlooking the...
