The place looks great in pictures and on first glance but it's way far from the 4 stars business you could expect. In my room bed is just two single mattress (of slightly different heigh) side by side and is uncomfortable in every way, also if there's a deodorant the humidity smells around. Walls are with nick and chips, some little bug around (nothing dramatic, quite normal but way not in the 4* standard) and...almost no water from the tap in bathroom. Strangely enough shower was ok but it was impossible to wash my teeth. The management is poor with -as far as i saw- just one persone supporting activities during the day...the breakfast is slow and limited (to be honest anyway the guys do their best). More than that the parking is not organised and also if you reserve a place it could happen someone else use it with the result you have to arrange. Rooms (apartments basically) are very large but if you are alone isn't that an advantage, very good position outside the mess of city center but still very close. Last: bath products (shampoo and so on) seems to be reused and not replaced...unpleasant.

We stopped over for a few days here with our trips to Castel del Monte and Bari. It’s a lovely complex and the room is lovely. There were just a few fundamental things missing... There was a kitchenette which was great but there was no cutlery, plates or cooking equipment. The internet well there hardly was any it just kept dropping in and out. It’s a must in this day and age.. if you have internet everyone is happy especially when the signal wasn’t great on the tv either. The breakfast was good even though there is confusion on hotels.com whether it was included or not (it was and the parking was free as well) 3 star based on the above and the actual star rating being 4

Four of us stayed in an apartment here. Staff were very obliging and helpful and always with a smile. Very professional too. Great apartment and each day we would walk the 15 mins to the old town which was an easy walk. We upgraded to the apartment which had a separate bedroom and the other bed in the main area. This allowed a bit more privacy. Only one thing that could be improved is that if you hire an apartment, unless you pay extra you do not get to use apartment facilities. You are not supplied with any crockery, cutlery, saucepans etc. These are taken out before you arrive and are classed as extras plus a cleaning fee. Normally, if you stay in an apartment, all of this is included. For us it did not worry us as we ate out every day, and having breakfast included in the hotel was good. Just beware for those who wish to cook in of the extra fee. Having said that, we would stay here again.

We chose this hotel for a one night stay at the end of our tour of Puglia as it seemed quite handy for Bari airport the following morning. In that respect it worked well; easy to find from the motorway, just about walkable to the rather smart "fashion district" and old town of Molfetta and only about a 10 minute drive to the airport. But what an odd place. It's basically a brand new apartment block on a busy roundabout on the outskirts of town. I'm guessing what may have happened is that an entrepreneur has built some flats at a bad time for property sales and decided to have a go at making them into a hotel instead. The rooms are enormous, with high ceilings, separate bedroom and living rooms, full scale kitchens and a huge walk in wardrobe room , so obviously intended for long term habitation. But the odd thing is that they have virtually nothing in them. Just a bed, 2 TV's and a convertible sofa. No cutlery, crockery, utensils, etc. etc. so impossible to use the kitchen, nor to eat and drink any meals brought in. The reception staff, who also served the nice breakfast, were charming and there is a small bar serving quite expensive drinks compared with other hotels we stayed in ( Euro 2.60 for an Espresso for example. There are also some menus for room service food but goodness knows where it comes from because it can't be cooked in house. But the downsides of the place outweighed the attractions. These were:- A general unfinished feel about the site and the building; car parking being too small to acommodate all guests; the overflow are down by the road would not have felt safe for a car full of touring gear; and most seriously the fact that the place is un-staffed between, I think, 10.00 pm to 7.00 am, relying on a high tech security system. Nothing went wrong while we were there but if it had we would not have felt comfortable. Lastly, our room, which was in the basement, smelt of drains in the morning after some heavy rain. But one of the higher floors where the rooms seem to have outdoor balconies, may have been better.

Response from Soglow Business... A, Direttore at Soglow Business Class Aparthotel
Responded Jul 14, 2015
Dear Sirs, We are sorrowed to read your words because of what surprise us it’s your “odd feedback”. We believed that your stay has been as good and comfortable as what our guests told us at the moment of departure. We are sorrowed to have overcome your expectations .. maybe you have booked a simple room and you have found a Suite of 50sqm, enormous, with high ceilings, separate bedroom and living rooms, a kitchen and a huge wardrobe , king size beds with last generation mattres, sofa with chaise longue, safe, LCD TV 32” with foreign channels…Yes,we know : it’s “something odd” to find all around the world. Our name and class hotel said “ApartHotel” We mean that We are an hotel which offer the possibility, on guests’ request, to have kitchen stuff and to use kitchen in order to customize your stay. We prefer leave the kitchen empty to guarantee cleanness and integrity of utensils. Only on guest’s request We fill up kitchen and at the moment of guests’ check-out We sterilize the Suite for the next stays. Otherwise you could stay in Suite with all the comforts of a 4stars hotel (breakfast included every day, Suite cleaning and badroom/bathroom linen daily change, minibar, free wi-fi connection etc..). SoGlow is designed to allow guests to feel comfortable as in their home. For this reason We give to our guests an electronic key which allows you an independent entrances thanks to an high tech system of “Building automation” . By this electronic card you can access to the structure at every time of day and night. Moreover this card activates a special system of surveillance 24/7 connected with our private police. Moreover We would specify that our minibar offers the best of beverage and food brands such as San Pellegrino water bottle ,Yoga biological juices, illy Italian coffee pod to taste the original Italian espresso, Italian snacks such as San carlo potatoes and apulian taralli and more… so We offer the best italian brands at a right price. As you specify in your feedback “nothing went wrong when you were at Soglow”, and maybe this is consider “odd” when you go in a foreign country and found an apartment clean and full of comforts..
