Great location on the island with a beautiful coral reef right outside. Stayed in beachfront bungalow, which I highly recommend. Some of the other resorts along lagoon are nice, but no coral, all waist deep sand. Breakfast of fruit, bread, and cereal was fine. Bus stops right outside resort and major grocery store is a 5 minute walk.

We stayed at the Palm Grove at the end of our trip in a beach front bungalow. Wished we stayed here the duration of our stay. Our bungalow had absolutely everything we needed. The room was huge and we had a beautiful deck area which led you down to the beach. Great place to snorkel and laze around! Breakfast was also included. Nice having fresh fruit etc. Would definitely stay here again!

We spent 6 nights in a Garden bungalow facing the pool. Unfortunately as a family of 3 adults we couldn't book a seafront unit, but we found our accomodation lovely, clean and spacious enough and just few steps across the road you are on the beach...and what a beach! Something to die for! Breakfast is good and with wide choice (banana bread my favourite item). The Yellow Hibiscus Restaurant offers a good option for lunch and dinner onsite. Superstore 5 minutes walk, Vaima Restaurant 10 minutes walk (via main road or via beach with low tide). Bus stop in front of the hotel. We used free Sunday church shuttle. Friday night happy hour is a must: FREE drinks, live music, happy people...touching! Sunday BBQ is nice too: good grilled meat or fish, live music, happy people...touching again! Well educated roosters and cats all around. Last but not least: Palm Grove staff....simply AMAZING! Special notice to Kitty, thank you Kitty for your kindness! We hope to come back to Rarotonga soon and our happy place will be Palm Grove Resort Carlo, Roberta e Giacomo

This would have to be one of the best places I have ever stayed in my life. I'm not one for big resorts with a concierge and I must say that my experience at Palm Grove was exactly what I was looking for - quiet, laid back, peaceful but still close to everything and easy to get to places from. The staff here are what make the experience "Next Level". It is wonderful to be greeted by name by everyone who works there. It was like staying with family (the good kind that you want to stay with). I could not rate the team and this accommodation highly enough. I stayed in a Garden Bungalow, kitchen, bathroom, lounge area and the most comfortable bed ever. I stayed here at the recommendation of a friend and I would happily recommend Palm Grove myself to anyone else - magical experience and I would gladly stay again if I ever get the chance to be back in the Cook Islands - these folks know how to do warm hospitality. Pal Grove is solidly booked for a reason! Love the place and everyone there.

How can one describe this beautiful paradise and the people there.?? Palm Grove is an absolute gem in the glittering jewels of the Cook Islands. From the incredible friendly crew to the accommodation one is in Heaven as soon as arriving. The beach front studio bungalows are fully self contained with every amenity one would need but with the tropical weather the aircon wasn't used. The ceiling fan was enough to bring the breezes off the beach into the room to add to the crashing of waves from the reef. Interior was spotless with plenty of good pressure hot water for the shower. Great set up kitchen area with full size fridge that kept our wine nice and cold. The Yellow Hibiscus Restaurant serves beautiful local food and "beverages" 100/10 score for one of the best tropical escapes we have ever had. Love from Matt & Colin xxxxx

Would not stay at Palm Grove again. The "resort" is in desperate need of a long overdue huge maintenance upgrade. We spent 7 nights in a 2 bed bungalow along with 2 other couples, one in a studio and a=the other couple in a deluxe 1 bed bungalow. The mattresses are ridiculously soft, so much so that they hurt my back. When I asked for a harder mattress I was told the "executive " mattress was all that was available. I spent 7 nights sleeping on cushions on the floor. Not what I expected for almost $400 per night. Our G9 bungalow has a faulty front door lock, cant be locked from inside ! G7 studio had the overwhelming stench of "grey"water/sullage awash on the ground at the back of the building. G10 bungalow had no hot water in the kitchen for 7 days !. For the price we paid, there are much better options in Rarotonga. The owners of Palm Grove should stay in the competitors resorts to see what a truly customer focused experience looks like. If y0u have any kind of back issue, dont stay here and dont expect any sympathy or help from the owners. All in all a very disappointing and expensive experience.

Room Tip: If you have any kind of low back issue, do not stay at Palm Grove as the bed mattress is far too...

This is my second stay at Palm Grove and third trip to Raro, I will be back. This time I took my neice (7) and she had a ball. Palm Grove is ideal for snorkeling and swimming. The gardens are lovely and from the friendly pick up with lovely flower ei to our farewell the staff were awesome. Linlee wanted to make lots of thankyou cards for everyone but only a couple made but she has told everyone back here how lovely everyone was. The rooms were nice and clean and air con great. The only disappointment was the breakfast which didn't have the selection of fruit and bakery items that were a delight last time. The breakfast was fine but just not as good as on my previous trip. Happy hour was great and most of the people who chose to stay here are also lovely and the staff AMAZING. Thanks for a lovely holiday and spoiling Linlee so much

Lovely classic resort very quiet. Stayed in poolside rooms. Beachfront next time as pretty villas. Snorkel off the beach. Loved our whole stay there. Banana bread was delicious, fresh fruit, good coffee. Hassle free stay. We were also lucky with sunshine all week!

Fantastic stay. Not the flashiest on the island but real homely, great food, excellent staff and having a studio bungalow just a few meters from the water's edge was incredible. Snorkeled every day. Handy convenience store / service station (24 hour) only 5 minutes walk away too.
