Good atmosphere and welcoming staff. Very clean everywhere.A nice dinner and reasonable prices. A quiet place that II can advise everyone to stay in this hotel. The only thing we’ve missed was an hairdryer.
A very pleasant hotel with really helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable, bar and restaurant are excellent. I ate there most evenings and although the choices were limited all dishes were excellent. Breakfasts are good too - choices for every taste. The hotel is convenient for visiting the Palace Hotel Park (fantastic trees!) and for anyone playing golf it is a good alternative to the expensive Palace Hotel! Good road links to other towns in a stunningly beautiful part of Portugal.
Was a summer hollidays trip and the hotel was quite nice, quiet and clean environment, good relaxing space and very near Chaves city. The people were very nice and the hotel has a nice space to put the car, very good for a 3 star hotel
Great reception, good bedrooms and bathrooms, and very nice breakfast, with options of fruits, cakes, breads. Excellent option for Vidago, close to water springs, a golf course and the old train station. Very enjoyable street in a quiet environment.
I was impressed with the professionalism and hospitality of the hotel staff-we found very good conditions- it is a very clean hotel, nice atmosphere and good facilities. we tried the indoor swimming pool and jacuzi-very nice! And not to mention the location-it is in the best place-opposite Vidago Palace .
In the shadow of the Vidago Palace, The Perfume is a modern hotel with good communal areas, pleasant bar and space outside to socialise with a drink. Very efficient and welcoming reception staff, who previously had gone out of their way to assist finding alternative accomodation when this hotel was full. Room with good sized double bed, excellent en suite and good shower. Clean tidy and well decorated. Good nights sleep, the place has an air of calm and is a pleasant place to be, plenty of car park space, and the Wi Fi worked efficiently.
On first sight can look modern, nice and stylish but... - really small rooms - no hairdryer (you have to ask for it) - no hangers for the towels in the toilet - poor quality of the breakfast - terrible dinner experience In conclusion, if you like minimum quality and better then average hotels this is not for you. If you value the nice colours and smells plus the indoor small swimming pool... then try it
We stayed here while attending the 10th Bonallack Trophy and the inaugural Patsy Hankins Trophy at Vidago Palace Golf Course, Portugal. This hotel provides a very reasonable alternative to the pricey Palace over the road. We had a room at the golf course end that over looked the Palace Course across the road, driving range and pool (though it was winter when we visited). the staff were awesome and very helpful, and really made us feel at home. It is a short 10 mins walk into the village that has afew nice little restaurants etc....all very quiet and sleepy in winter, probably busy in summer.
Stayed in this hotel while attending a golf related event at Palace course. The staff were fantastic, very helpful land accommodating and speak excellent english. Our room was excellent (superior) with lots of space and nice views across to golf course over road. We had a good meal one night and all the breakfasts were good. Didn't use the pool as there in March. Easy 10mins walk in village to other bars and restaurants
In fact this place offers more than you normally expect from a three star Hotel! We had a relaxing break here at a very reasonable price, with a small but very comfortable and clean room, good breakfast, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The staff is very helpful and speaks english german and french. The location is great, right in front of the entrance to a beautiful park with exotic old trees, flowers, thermal facilities and a golf course. I wish to come back!
