Can not understand the reviews this hotel got in February of this year On arrival we were allocated rooms which smelt of damp so asked to be moved which was not a problem as the hotel was empty the room we got was was dated housekeeping was poor and well below standard The pool was dirty and didn't seem too be filtered until we complained and then it took three day's to get it looking right Only one restaurant was open and that was hit and miss breakfast was served over the road in the sister hotel overall the hotel is dated not very clean and not as advertised the staff were very good and did go out of there way to help
An ok hotel. is a bit away from good restaurants, but no problem shown hiring a scooter. (Very quiet traffic) Room cleaning wasn't much to brag about, just clean up your bed and fresh towels. Otherwise very nice staff
My partner and I stayed here for two nights in February. This was just after the Chinese Travel Ban was set in place so it was very quiet. Which worked in our favour but not sure if it is always like that. The hotel has recently changed hands I believe, and it’s clear to see that the new owners are putting a lot of money in to restoring the gorgeous traditional Balinese architecture around the grounds. I had never been to Tanjung Benoa before and I really liked it. We checked out Nusa Dua as well but didn’t like that, it was just full of big commercial hotels. Tanjung has a more village feel to it, still with lots of nice restaurants and hotels, loads of water sports options and as always very friendly locals. We also took a moped across to Uluwatu, we’ll work a visit for a day for anyone who has not been. It took us about 35 minutes on the moped. The hotel is set across the road from the beach, but their house restaurant is right opposite the hotel on the beach, you can’t swim there anyway as it is reserved for water sports. The hotel has a private patch of beach a few KM away, with free shuttle busses going regularly, or if you have a moped or don’t mind a walk, it’s very easy to get to. We ate dinner at the house restaurant Tao and had a great, well priced meal. The breakfast restaurant is also very well set up with lots of options and a lovely view. The hotel itself is huge, we were in pool view rooms which meant we had to walk a bit of a way to get to our room, but I sussed out the rooms with the best location, they are the Deluxe Premium Garden rooms, and on the ground floor so you have garden access. I think room 133 or something. There are also private villas that looked great and we will probably try one our next visit! The pool and hotel grounds were amazing, a big play area for kids, lots of gazebos, a sunken pool bar, a beach volleyball court, in house gym and spa. There was also the sister hotel next door, the beach club opposite that, and the beach side pool at Tao restaurant that guests are allowed to use. The rooms were very well cleaned and staff super accommodating and responsive. Yeni at reception was just lovely every time we saw her. We would definitely stay here again, it is a great affordable hotel for couples and families alike! …
We enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was fresh and had a good variety. The staff assisted when we required. The pool area is just the right size. The location is good but would suggest a short taxi ride to Bali Collection for a good supply of restaurants.
Couldn't ask for a better place to be. Everyone and everything was absolutely amazing. We only wish we could have stayed longer!! We loved the fact that there were a lot of activities for everyone! Once again to praise these lovely staff especially Diasta, Erich and Sana!!! They helped us to get a mobile phone back :) Nothing we could fault.
