Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The Nikko ticked all the boxes for us during our 8 day stay. We were offered an upgrade at check-in to rooms 330 & 332 which had excellent views of the ocean and pool. In our experience the breakfast menu had a large variety of choices and our food was always fresh as were the other meals taken in the Nikkos other restaurants. During our stay we found the occupancy rates very low which was the same across every other resort , this meant that after a few days they did reduce some dining and food options which was only a minor inconvenience. The family had three massages each which were extraordinarily good. It's not brand new hotel but it does tick every box and its certainly not a pretentious hotel , the staff will attend to every request with a smile and vigor. We did go outside of the resort for a few meals but to be fair you could have stayed inside for the same or less expense. Happy our beers were about $2.50 Australian, which for the week we were there went from 12 - 7, not that we went too hard it just shows that you can relax and not be worried about blowing a budget. In a nutshell it was an enjoyable holiday for the 4 of us.

The Good: We stayed in a deluxe ocean view room .Room is dated and dark but clean, staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Food and beverage prices are very cheap and quite tasty. View from room is pretty, bed is very comfortable. We requested a roll away bed for our daughter and it was made up and ready, still enough space in the room. Pool is large and has shady areas. Broken tiles and lots of moss/slime so not amazing. There are lots of Super cheap spas across the road, as well as pharmacies, small supermarket, souvenir stores, fruit stands and laundry Mats.
The Bad: Beach is gross, SO much rubbish, smelly, A massive old rusty abandoned boat on shore to the right of hotel. Views are limited, location is not the greatest, lots of boats and fishing and just a general dirty vibe. No gardens or space to explore, not a resort as such, just an old hotel right on the beach. The entire hotel is very old and needs a makeover. We are moving hotels for the last two nights of our trip. It just depends on your expectations and budget, we gave this hotel a try as it was half the price of where we usually stay in Nusa Dua, getting out of Benoa.If you are just after a cheap happy hour and pool bar and cheap food you may be happy. However for an amazingly luxury holiday resort experience in an amazing location we feel it’s worth losing the money we paid for the last two nights and paying the extra to go somewhere nicer!

It was very spontaneous decision to book this hotel. However we did not regret. Hotel located on Benoa Beach in Nusa Dua. Amazing breakfast with a nice sea view and specious cozy rooms. The bed was so comfy. Room was always clean. It has all required amenities for comfortable stay. Staff is extremely polite and helpful. Will definitely come back to this hotel. If you are not using minibar and you want to remove it to just use the fridge, hotel will charge you IDR50000. Hotel has very big outdoor swimming pool and nice restaurants.
What I would recommend to improve: please put cushions on sun-benches as it is so painful to lay on it. Would also recommend to clean the beach near by hotel from seaweed.
Comparing to neighboring hotels Nikko Benoa Hotel provides way better quality service on more affordable rates.

Located directly facing the sea, the Nikko hotel has large and comfortable rooms with balconies with beautiful bathrooms with shower and bathtub. Our originally garden view room had a view of the swimming pool and the sea. the breakfast buffet is very generous with different themes: Indonesian, Japanese, continental and the coffee is very good (a change from the traditional Balinese coffee with more grounds than coffee...). the staff is very kind and attentive. The sea/pool area has many comfortable deckchairs. The pool is large and clean but is a bit run down having lost many mosaic tiles. the poolmen regularly come by with a landing net to collect the flowers that fall into the pool because the pool is beautifully wooded. The beach is not very clean; there is very little water which is more like a culture broth. At high tide, the inlet becomes a very noisy and smelly channel for jet skis, towed buoy boats and parasailing... The spa offers a relaxation area, a gym with machines and massages (which we tested ). The restaurants (Japanese, Italian and pool snack) are quite good but a little more expensive than the many restaurants outside the hotel. In summary, the Nikko Benoa beach is a beautiful hotel, a little aging, but which offers great services for a relaxing stay by the beach.

Stayed 5 nights really enjoyed it great breakfast ready when you awake each morning, very helpful staff. Only down side I can pick is the condition of the pool looks amazing from the outside but when you're in it you find missing tiles everywhere was left with a few cuts to my feet. Beautiful beachfront resort. The beach is just a few steps from the swimming pool. Room size is decent and we added an additional bed. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower areas and all amenities such as towels, shower gel, shampoo, lotion, toothbrush etc. Breakfast selection was good with a egg station, basics like cereal, fruits and pastries and some changes to the cooked food daily (which included food like rice, noodles, potatos, chicken and fish). Coffee is via coffee machines with different choices such as lattes, flat white, macchiato, but no mocha. Free shuttle bus to and from Bali Collection is also provided. There is a minimart about 5 min walk down the road to get snacks from. Spas are abundant once you step put of the hotel which are much cheaper.
Cons: The room we were assigned had a creaky bed which creaked each time we move. Water from the bathroom tap were hot whichever direction it was turned, hence no room temperature water.

Lovely stay nice and quiet and clean comfortable rooms with fantastic staff with a smIle on their face all day. Nice big pool on the beach and cool pool bar. Were given a room with bad moisture and damp smell on second floor however on advising front desk we were moved no problems.

We are on our honeymoon and we had a great time and experience with the resort and the staffs.
From the airport pick up, till the room check-in, the staffs are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast has quite a variety and their fried rice is legit good! The room is a bit old as we need to put in one card all the time cuz the socket is not in good condition. Other than that, the view is breathtaking and tranquil.
All in all, I would love to go back to this hotel and will recommend for any couple looking for a peace of mind and privacy.

We visited for Nyepi Day ( Silent Day ) March 2021 and stayed at Ocean View Suite ( 89 square meter ) with large balcony, garden and ocean view. our room was totally adequate and well appointed. the staff from check-in to restaurants, room service, swimming pool, housekeeping, kids club, security, maintenance and management to check-out were all very helpful and courteous. The meals were included in the Silent Day package and were fresh and delicious . We definitely will revisit the magnificent Nikko Benoa Bali. Absolutely zero criticism.

Stayed for two weeks, great pool area, although needing a Reno. Has a large shady pool with a great swim up bar, with a great, extended happy hour! Top Japanese restaurant, Nagisa, great Sashimi chef, goes to a lot of effort in shopping fresh from the markets each morning. Comfortable rooms, great beds and soft pillows.
