This hotel has clearly suffered at the hands of covid. The pool is tired, there are tiles missing. The sun beds have seen better days and the pool towels could do with updating. All of these things were unimportant as far as our holiday was concerned. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully maintained and the gardeners take a great deal of pride maintaining the green areas. The pool area, although tired was extremely clean, if holiday makers didn’t abuse the pool towel system by using 3 and 4 at a time maybe there would have been enough of the good quality towels for everyone. The rooms were very spacious and again very clean, the air con did smell slightly fusty initially but I think this was due to lack of use. The bed was wonderfully comfortable with a light weight duvet and not sheets. The food was amazing with a good selection, buffet offered afternoon and evening with a menu option 24 hours per day. The on site Mediterranean restaurant is incredible with an amazing selection of good quality food. What made our holiday was the Balinese people, nothing was too much trouble. We were greated with a smile no matter what time of day of night. They were all very attentive and couldn’t do enough to help. In my opinion this hotel exceeds on all the necessary requirements to provide an amazing holiday. Once tourists start to return to Bali I’m sure this hotel will recover and become the amazing hotel I’m sure it once was.

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed in the Junior Suite for 2 nights and ended staying for 3 nights cos we just love the room. The check in process was smooth, the reception even reminded us to use hand sanitizer cos we touched stuff around there. The room is very big, it has 2 bathroom, bed is nice and comfortable, aircon is very cold. Pool towels and bath towels are provided in the room but you have to request for bathroom amenities. The pool is not very big and the water is a bit salty but its quite nice. The beach is awesome and the water is very clear. You can just sit in the garden or chilling on the day bed watching the beach. You can also do watersports here. Breakfast was good, but the first 2 nights, the menu was totally the same. Would recommend to change the menu each day. Overall we had a very good experience here, the staffs are friendly, the hotel atmosphere is calming and the room is nice. Will be back next time.

We booked this hotel pre covid, reviews were great The outstanding service from the staff is commendable, really happy to serve and always pleased to see the holidaymakers returning but I am afraid this is where it ends. The rooms are musty and bathrooms covered in mould, same with the public areas, chairs broken sticky tables and everything looking very worn. The beach is filthy, littered with old plastic debris, loungers & umbrellas broken, beach towels are threadbare. On the same part of beach boats, jetskis are constantly back and forth so there is a constant smell of petrol fumes. The pool is terrible, broken tiles and black mould - dangerous access getting in or out (the servers at the bar are super though) I am surprised they can open a pool that is this dangerous. The toilets at the pool are quite simply disgusting, enter at your own risk, they should be closed. Restaurants the Italian is lovely, ladies are an absolute joy and we really enjoyed meals there Buffet Breakfast bland, dinner boring unless you order from the a la carte menu, same thing everyday. What disturbed me the most was the amount of flies on the food that was out and while eating being dived bombed regularly by them. Mossies - they are relentless there is no respite, given the outside area has a huge water feature in between the hotel - beach it's no surprise. We kept hearing they want to improve things but tourists need to come back, tourists will chose an alternative I am afraid - dreadful shame, we wouldn't return the only thing that made it bearable was the staff. Holiday this was not :-(

The Hotel itself is beautiful, lovely pool & beach. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and they keep the Hotel very clean. The rooms are lovely and spacious. They contain a mini ar which is re stocked daily. I dont think this is a 5* Hotel, more of a 3* hence my rating. The main Restaurant has little choice, and for breakfast is the same food everyday. The evening buffet is incredibly small with very few options and it wasn't until our 3rd night another guest explained that you can order from the menu no staff had explained this to us. We ate in the Italian restaurant once while was nice. The pool restaurant is only open for lunch, not in the evening. Again this has a limited option. I would highly recommend some form of insect repellent. They tend to get you in your sleep. This is a good base for exploring Bali, but it is not a luxurious 5* hotel.

We were so nervous to come to this hotel after reading some horrible reviews recently. However, it did pleasantly surprise us and we ended up really enjoying ourselves. I have only given 3 stars as there is still a lot of work that needs to be done I think but it definitely is worth a stay and the staff are really helpful. I would recommend booking the Italian restaurant there if you are all inclusive. The Kitchen buffet at night was really bland but the food in the restaurant outside as well as the Italian was really nice. Bring mosquito spray if you’re going to eat outside though - they are ruthless! The all inclusive option was well worth it as we got all our drinks, food, ice cream and waffles on the beach and the activities that they put on in the afternoon. There’s entertainment every evening in the lobby area or on the grass. I would also recommend bringing a net to put over yourself in bed as we got bitten when we slept. The rooms were standard but not the cleanest. This was probably the worst part about the hotel. The toilets do smell but you have to remember in that area of bali, the sewage systems are very delicate. There’s a mini fridge which is stocked daily and complimentary toiletry items. The staff are helpful although we struggled understanding the English when we arrived so were a little clueless for the first day or two. The beach area is nice and we sat there everyday - they clean any seaweed away each day. Overall, I would stay here again and look forward to seeing what improvements they make now they have begun to recover from covid! Well done and keep up the great work.

Decided not to go to Ubud. Instead of that we went to Benoa and decided to stay at Sol by Melia. The room is spacious, besides working tables, it has sofa and terrace too... All worked well with the room facilities and the room is very clean. the breakfast is nice too. Staff are very friendly and fast response.. really a lovely stay here..!!

Definitely a three star hotel. Staff was very pleasant and polite. No concierge, your services never present when we needed one or a store to buy drinks or snacks. Several fully stocked souvenir stores though. The Food served in the a la carte restaurant breakfast buffet was the same every morning and was very mediocre. We had several dinners at the same and they were below average and very unsatisfying. No servers to offer drinks when at the pool or beach. Cushions on the beach chairs were torn and dirty. Beach wasn’t maintained as well as neighboring hotels. The garden was beautiful and well kept. I enjoyed patronizing the local, friendly merchants at the beach.

We stayed here for 10 nights after spending 5 up in Ubud - sadly I wish we had stayed there. The hotel itself is quite dated, although the bedrooms have been modernised and are done to a reasonable standard. The grounds of the hotel are impeccable with staff tending to them constantly. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. They couldn’t do enough for you. The beach was disappointing and not the crystal clear waters you would expect - it’s full of fishing boats and jet-skis meaning you end up inhaling more petrol fumes than sea air. When it comes to sun loungers (this was the dealbreaker for me) - there literally isn’t enough at the beach or around the pool so get up early if you want one! We went all inclusive silver, so a few times were moved from our Sun loungers as gold guests wanted them - once when I went to the toilet and returned to find my towel and pegs moved & thrown in a pile on a sun lounger further along the beach 🤬 At other times the staff would reserve them first thing for them (so even if you got up early they had all gone) - but then not using them until 2-3 in the afternoon when they would rock up for a couple of hours and then leave so that really irritated me. Why not have a gold area of the hotel and beach if that is the case as they do in other resorts? The food is average at best with limited choice, however the local spirits and cocktails are beautiful - although the glasses at the pool bar could do with a proper clean and the pool in places is green with algae with sharp broken tiles. It wasn’t a bad stay, but it definitely wasn’t the 4* experience I was expecting and would in all honesty rate it a 3*. Bali is amazing, we made some wonderful new friends and I will definitely be back - just not here sadly!

Very disappointed after waiting so long for my holiday, the hotel is absolutely in need of a complete clean and a total revamp. Rooms are damp and dirty,,towels very worn and grey not like white fluffy towels you would expect in a 5 star Hotel. Rooms full of mosquitoes including the whole hotel. Pool needs attention due to broken tiles. Beach mattresses are disgusting need replacing .but have to say the staff are amazing .food was excellent .this is a true review

To set the scene, I first came to Bali in 2017 and stayed at this hotel. I loved it! The staff were terrific (still are), and the rooms and pool were all maintained. My wife and I were due to get married in Bali in 2020 before the C-word stopped that. Fast forward two years, and eager to return to the country and hotel, I was deeply saddened by what we found. Before, when you entered the hotel lobby, you had happy, friendly faces, played musical instruments and instantly got that Balinese culture feel. Now, it's dead. No music. No cheerful, warm welcome. No "Ahhhh, I am finally home away from home" feeling. The room was dirty and smelled damp—splatted mosquitos on the mirrors and dusty desktops and sideboards. The shower barely had any power and took about 2 mins to warm up enough to get under. The pool is a shadow of its former self. Dirty, scummy tiles are missing, exposing sharp edges and posing health risks. A couple of times, they had cleaners come in but only to scrub (very severely) the first few feet from the surface (just enough that you wouldn't notice the rest of the pool unless you went under with goggles. The food is as I remember. Still good, at least, by my standards, but I often saw people complaining about theirs. Also, the hotel owners were on-site during the first part of our stay, celebrating their 50th birthday. I have seen the wife of the owner here in previous years too. I have often found her to be rude and look at hotel guests like they are something off the bottom of her shoe. I made a conscious effort to acknowledge and smile at her every time we walked past each other until one day; she had no choice but to flash a smile back... not a good way to behave towards your guests and stakeholders. What saddens me is that I highly recommend this hotel to my friends, who joined us for our wedding in Seminyak. They were so unimpressed that many left the hotel the next day to stay elsewhere. Sadly, we will not be coming back here.
