We have just returned from a trip to The Ramshorn Estate, having stayed in one of the owners other holiday lets - School House (which is excellent) this site was recommened to us. What a great woodland site this is, the lodges are well equipt and have a luxiourious and private feel to them. Log burners and hot tubs in... More

I booked the weaver lodge for a surprise family weekend for my fiancées 30th birthday and we had an amazing time at this luxury lodge! Firstly booking of the lodge went very smoothly and Sharon was extremely accommodating and helpful when I was booking the lodge. The lodge was spotless and stunning! Kitchen was extremely well equipped, everything that you... More

We have just returned and despite having a really lovely time, I would give this a mixed review. These are advertised as luxury accommodation and unfortunately I would describe them as basic and somewhat overpriced in comparison to others that I have stayed in. We had four bedrooms, the beds were VERY small, in fact I don't think they are... More

I stayed with 6 friends at the beginning of April in Denstone Lodge. Situated on the end of the row of lodges we had a lot of privacy in our garden area. Beautiful scenery with the woodland - ideal for walks both short and long, there's even a great pub just a 5/10 minute walk away to stop off at!... More

Had an excellent weekend in the Norbury lodge, this is our 3rd visit and excellent as always.. Wifi signal not very good but hey ho, we kept ourselves entertained without the internet. The estate is in the middle of the woods which is great for relaxation along with the hot tub. The cabins have everything you could need and there... More

Just back from an Easter week break. We stayed in 2 lodges- Weaver and Farley- as there was a big group of us. Both lodges had had work done since we last stayed and were well equipped, freshly painted with new sofa in the Weaver. This is a very quiet and relaxing location but we'll situated for a variety of... More

Stayed in Denstone over the Easter break. The lodge was lovely . Enjoyed the log burner on cold nights. The Hot tub was a great addition. Lodge had every ammenity.. Lots of room for two young children to run around. I would recommend the estate for a relaxing break. The Star pub down the road was also worth a visit.

We recently stayed at the Ramshorn Estate, this year in the Norbury lodge, having stayed in 3 other of the lodges in the woodland we were not disappointed with yet another wonderful holiday. The location is ideal, be it for a short break or summer holiday, within a leisurely walking distance of Alton Towers and the quaint rural villages with... More

We first stayed in the lodge as a group of 7 friends . Sadly one of our friends passed away however we have continued to visit annually and stay in the same Lodge for the passed 3 years . In 2014 after we visited we complained about the sofa how uncomfortable it was and had a large lump which someone... More

We had a brilliant holiday in Farley at Ramshorn Lodges with friends and our kids. Previous reviews had us worried but on arrival we were just delighted. Farley's interior was freshly painted and a new patio laid to the hot tub. Indeed it looked like all the lodges were having work done. Sam, the site manager/caretaker was very helpful and... More
