I visited Native Abode 5 years ago. This time I brought along 2 others persons with me. They were both wowed by the rooms, the treatment they recieved, the personality of the host, the breakfast. Mr Stein made us feel at home. I would surely be visiting again.
This was a great B&B! Friendly and efficient attention from Stein and the housekeepers. House situated on a quiet street but not far from where lots of the action is in the area not far from the airport. Cosy comfortable and spotlessly clean room, furnished in local Tobago style. Small kitchen area at one end with sink kettle and microwave. Bathroom very small but with fantastic shower and toiletries provided. There was a small balcony as well but the view overlooks the rather unexciting residential area. The breakfasts were delicious! Fresh fruit every day (some from the garden) and various entree options which had to be ordered the evening before, together with warm homemade bakes. The only downside to the breakfast was eating it in the dark windowless dining room. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay here and would definitely go back. …
My husband and I arrived in Tobago early in the morning after a very long and arduous overnight flight. We called our accommodations in the hopes of at least dropping our bags off before check-in. Our host Stein not only immediately and cheerfully picked us up, but told us our room was ready as well. The room was spacious with a king-sized bed, air conditioning, Wifi, a small kitchenette (outfitted with welcoming drinks), a small balcony, a massive tv (including Netflix and Prime) and drinking was good from the tap or from the water cooler with fresh spring water in the hallway. Our host Stein was readily available to answer questions and give directions to either of the beaches which are about a 15-20 minute walk away. Later, when we were seeking a location for dinner, Kaye (our other host) was incredibly helpful and just lovely to chat with. Breakfast is chosen to order the night before and provided at your chosen time. The food was delicious and used many ingredients from the expansive garden the hosts keep in the backyard which Stein kindly took us on a tour of after our meal. The brother and sister team of Stein and Kaye run a top-notch establishment that I cannot recommend enough if you are staying in Crown Point.…
The room was well appointed and comfortable. The owner was super accommodating as we required early check-in and late check-out. We felt very at home and welcomed in the space. It was quiet and remarkably comfortable, I would definitely stay there again and recommend it. It was an awesome experience for a quick get-away.
The room was well appointed and the owner was very accommodating taking our breakfast order the evening before. It’s a super nice and well kept property with many fruit trees and foliage. Walking distance to food shops and the beach.
So laid back there was no check-in.Picked up from airport by host Stein.Arrived and said hello to lady host and that was it.Room is like a well-furnished studio flat. It had microwave, fridge, kettle and fully stocked cutlery tray etc.Good sized room.Small bathroom but with great shower.Nice quirky touches:free calls to UK,you’re asked to pick your lovely breakfast and how you want it cooked from the menu the night before so it can be prepared for you. Super nice and helpful Stein basically doubled as my tour guide/driver.I wasn’t able to get hold of any tour operators so at the last minute he stepped in and we did most of the island tour. Location is in a quiet residential area or village so if you want to be right in the centre of things bear that in mind but really distances aren’t that big:The main tourist area of Crown Point is only about 5 mins by car. Impressive TV media selection that's better than bigger hotels. This is really a great place to stay with kind friendly hosts.…
Looking for a truly authentic Tobago vacation? I highly recommend the idyllic 'Native Abode'. It is a guesthouse nestled in the serene village of Bon Accord. - Excellent accomodation - Attentive, courteous and discreet staff. - The local breakfast is a culinary delight you must savour - As a bonus, expect to be awakened by the village roosters; to be serenaded by birds as they flit amongst the numerous fruit trees and, last but not least, relax in the cool ocean breeze - -
This guesthouse is perfection. The location is very close to popular beaches. Excellent homemade breakfast. Very clean with daily room service and complimentary ride to the airport. I have zero complaints.
Could not ask for a better vacation spot. Really lovely people, love the atmosphere, hospitality and food. We had the best time ever. If you're looking for a quiet place, local breakfast, lovely rooms, and lovely people check Native Abode.
Wonderful experience and the superb customer service was a highlight. They make you feel right at home and the complimentary breakfast with the local variety added a unique touch. The sleep comfort was amazing and I'm usually very particular with beds because I sometimes get back aches. I would definitely stay here again because everything about the experience was pleasant and welcoming.
