Hostel Ociski raj is a beautifully decorated hostel, which is located in the southwestern part of Slovenia, in the village of Ocizla near Kozina, on the border, which brings together Istria and Karst.The hostel is suitable for individuals, couples (double room), families (4 and 6 - bed rooms ) and for groups (up to 26 persons), which can prepare meals for themselves in the common kitchen or order a big breakfast. The hostel offers some bikes for rent and our guests can also get information regarding the tourist offer, which can be obtained at the front desk of the hostel.The hostel is surrounded by The Škocjan caves park, the hill Slavnik ( 1028m ), valley of the river Glinščica ( Val Rosandra ), the Karst edge with climbing walls in Črni Kal and Osp (Mišja peč) and Socerb castle with a magnificent view of the city of Trieste and Koper, which are only 20km away from Ocizla.

We reserved a room at the last moment and we got a very nice big room. The staff was very friendly and nice. She prepared the best breakfast, she even made pancakes and eggs for us. I recommend it to everyone.

Hostel is near A1 highway, few km from Kozina. 20 min drive and you are on the Adriatic coast. Great value for money. Nice clean and colorfull hostel. Friendly staff...she never say NO...i have and i will allways come back!!

We arrived to hostel by bike and the staff was very friendly. She offered us to keep the bikes in their garage. We were three friends and they put us in a 8-bed room and we were alone in the room. The room had a nice balcony with sheep underneath and with a view on a beautiful sunset. The kitchen is pretty big and well equiped and clean. We ordered breakfast for the next morning and it was a perfect breakfast for 3€.
The bathroom is pretty new and also clean.
The location is on a countryside so don't expect to have a supermarket or bar next door.
There was also a swiming pool outside, but we were to tired to try it.

We stay here very good. Nice quite place!!!! Staff very friendly. Hostel offers also free wi-fi, bed linen, towels, parking and play ground for children! And there is also big kitchen. Racommented!! We will come back for sure!

I was in Hostel Ociski Raj several times. It is the best hostel ever. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They will give you a lot of usefull information abaut whole area. And you can even rent a bike. The rooms are clean and are playfull arranged. I love to go there...it feels like home.

Korenine, the folkdance group Radovljica, we spend a night at hostel Ocizla and enjoy it. Host Jana makes everything even more pleasant. Perfect beds , i slept like a bear. I highly recomend it. We didn't take breakfast, but in total of 17 eur to spend a night and morning breakfast is the cheapest version of spending a night or two.

We were 2 people, men, travelling together. 4 nights in a private room. The kitchen and the bathrooms are shared.
The room was clean and big enough for two. It was the Cockta room (a 4 bedded).
Total price: 112 euro including taxes.
13-14 euro per person per night. It is the same in a 6 or 8 bedded room too.
Last year we get a 6 bedded room for 3, that has a balcony too.
The property owners are nice people. Jana helped us to find a good beach in Ankaran. They can suggest a lot of nice places and programs all years round.

We went there after the recomendation from our find and we have to thank him. We can say that you'll find in Ociski Raj great atmosphere and many facilities (free wi-fi, bed linen, towels, parking, big full equipped kitchen) in really affordable price. Very nice, quiet, clean place and friendly, helpful staff (special thanks and regards for Jana she'll give you a lot of usefull information about whole area, restaurants, shops etc. ).

The staff is so friendly and helpful. The hostel has a kitchen with all the pottery and pans so you can cook for yourself. The place was clean and calm. I would definitely come back. I strongly recommend the place. 5 Stars
