this pub has been closed for a few months, hope it will reopen soon, a real pity because it was becoming a great place for the locals, really sad to see something that was doing a good trade and great food close down, I miss real chips and a menu with three sizes for every meal!

Stayed here for two nights and the service was very friendly and the food so so good, generous servings and a great range of dishes- my sister still talks about the homemade dressing on her Caesar Salad. This little Gem still has a billiard table in the bar room, and there is a small intimate dining area out the back. Stayed at the Red Lion for one night as a solo business traveller. Very reasonably priced - with a reduction for single occupancy. Me and my freind's all arived on motor bikes ,parking sorted no problem ,Food all home made (realy home made) a lot or as little as you please ,rooms warm comfy, Breakfast as much as you want . Superb.
