The property is beautiful and perched above the river which has a broad flat tow path giving easy access into Moulay and Mayenne. Our rooms were in the same building as reception and very clean and comfortable. Free wifi, TV etc, strange there's no shower curtain but lovely view of the trees from the window. We had the 32 euros...

We stayed here in a supreme room which was indeed, very roomy - with a huge comfortable bed. Our room was in the former chateau and was nicely decorated. The restaurant is a short stroll over the courtyard. I can highly recommend the Anjou blanc as the wine to order by the carafe - sublime and delicious. We arrived for...

We stayed here for three nights in August 2016. The hotel consists of a series of buildings, some very old, set around a large area of garden with big trees and lawns. If its glitzy you're after this is not for you. But if you want character, here it is. The hotel has the most beautiful location on the banks...

We spent two nights at this hotel. Our room was clean, pleasant and a good size. The surroundings were very peaceful and we had an undisturbed sleep. We would however recommend a visit to Beau Rivage, a walk along the tow path if you are wanting a lovely meal. Much better quality than the hotel restaurant. Despite being a Velo...

We only ate here, so cannot comment on the rooms, that said the grounds and surrounding area is very nice. We had the 5 course set menu, whilst the food was well cooked, the starter described as a langoustine dish, was really a salad. Some of the food combinations were interesting to say the least but overall the flavours were...

For some weeks, I have been trying to organise a seminar for some 50 people at La Marjolaine. This included at least 8 bedrooms for the night before and lunch for the attendees. As this is at the beginning of November, you would think that this would be ample notice. I dined at the restaurant with several other people (the...

Our stay at this hotel was organised by the tour operator "cycling for softies" and the description we had sounded lovely "the excellent 4* La Marjolaind is on the banks of the river Mayenne". In reality it Is a Logis with a 3 lamp rating - not sure what this means in French standards but 2/3* would be more accurate...

This is a typical French private run Logis Hotel. A friendly welcome, (very) good food, a clean and very nice room in the poolhouse. I had to go outside to the room which I normally do not like but which is not a problem when the weather is fine... Breakfast was OK, no more, no less. As a business traveler...

We arrived, on spec, in July 2014 and stayed for two nights. A delightful and impressive location, with an outdoor pool to cool off in (weather permitting) The restaurant was 'top notch' french cuisine, if anything a little too fancy perhaps, however the food was impeccable ..........so please treat yourself. All of the staff were very helpful, sympathetically managing with...
