We stayed at this hotel at the end of our walking holiday. Whilst all the staff are all very nice, I have to single out Carmen who is just lovely - super friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. We were given a room with a view on the top floor, but it was rather chilly so we...

Stayed 2 nights autumn 2015. We have nothing but praise for this small, comfortable hotel in Vidiciatico. Our hill-walking plans were thwarted by unseasonable low cloud and heavy rain, but our host Bruno spontaneously offered, and drove us on, a 1 1/2 hour tour to see the work of the nearby Parmesan cheesery. Personalised and thoroughly interesting, and Bruno could...

This hotel is a gem -- locally owned and run, with great food, excellent wine selection and superb service, courtesy of the charming Mr. Bruno and the super-efficient and friendly Ms. Carmen. Our room had a lovely and quiet balcony with a great view, the beds were super comfortable, and the welcome was genuine and warm. By all means, relax...

Like other reviewers we were on a walking holiday. This is a lovely friendly hotel. We were given a wonderful room with a large balcony and panoramic views. Carmen is indefatigable, and seems to do everything. There is a huge Lido in the village - the hotel immediately offered us complimentary entrance tickets. It's a fun end to the day...

What a lovely and friendly hotel! We stayed here on a walking trip to the Appenines and this was our final stop. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the welcome warm and friendly. Carmen - who is front of house is amazing and we felt so well looked after - she arranged all our transfers ans also mixes a rather...

We booked at short notice after a three week hike along the Apennines and stayed 2 nights. Very welcoming and helpful in every way. Excellent breakfast - more variety than usual - but Montegrande turns out to be a well established stop for many organised N European walking groups too and works hard to meet clients' needs. It's also a...

Shown up lots of stairs to a large room with balcony which was a great place to enjoy a beer - brought up by the always on hand Carmen. She looked after us so well being attentive and with a great theatrical performance with a decanter and large glasses for our red wine at dinner. Huge breakfast buffet and enjoyable...

We stayed as a family as part of a walking holiday in the Appenines. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable and the bed was comfortable and a decent size. We were very impressed by Carmen's friendliness and she was very tolerant of my terrible Italian. Signora Bartolomei is a justly renowned cook and the meals were delicious. This is...

I stayed here for two nights as part of a walking tour in the Apennines with my parents. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. Bruno the host was extremely welcoming and helpful and the waitress (I didn't get her name) was incredibly cheerful, efficient and hard working. The food was delicious and hearty, with dinners consisted of 5 courses....

I stayed two nights at this hotel during a walking holiday. My room was spacious and comfortable with a good en-suite shower room. I also had a private balcony where I could relax and enjoy the mountain air. The breakfast and dinners were very good but my highest praise must go to the staff who were so helpful after I...
