We absolutely loved staying here! All the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful for anything you may need. Convenient location, 5 minute bike ride to the famous Trang An grottos and free bikes are provided during the stay. They also have scooters available for rent through the hotel for 120,000 VD per day and 30,000 per liter of gas which was very convenient for transportation around the area. Hotel staff also have recommendations on popular tourist sites and a map provided. Breakfast was included and consisted of fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice and whatever entrees you like (eggs, omelette, pancakes, fried noodle, fried rice, pho etc). The hotel also has a restaurant on site for lunch/dinner and beer/wine for purchase. The staff was also able to set up and arrange limo bus transportation from the hotel to ha long bay for us. Great stay and just amazed we were the only people there - tourism is only just restarting. The place is really pretty with individual chalets. Staff really helpful. New bicycles for free loan, and a short ride to local attractions like the boat rides and the Hoa Lua site. It's further to the Bai Dinh pagoda but we managed it in 50 minutes on bikes. Food was cooked to order by the kitchen with fresh ingredients straight from the family garden. Internet reliable and fast. Vietnam is a fabulously beautiful country and this was a wonderful place to enjoy the area from. We'd only come down for a few days while visiting our son and his family in Hanoi whom we hadn't seen for 30 months. We could easily have spent a few more days at Trang An. I really hope these people get foreign visitors back - they've invested in very good facilities that put many motels in more modern countries like Australia and the US to shame, and they deserve to have the trade. If you're going to Vietnam I'd urge you to look at Trang An Retreat. We had a small 2-person unit but there are larger family sized rooms.…

YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE!!!!!! The views are amazing, everyone who works here is amazing, the area is amazing. We are vegetarian and they were able to accommodate and provide a great breakfast (and other meals!). We took out bikes a lot and riding near the retreat at sunset was one of our favorite things we did in Vietnam. We also borrowed a scooter to go to Tam Coc. I can't believe this late in the review I'm going to bring up the pool. All my pool dreams came true. We also were able to get laundry washed and they were so kind about accomodating for us leaving late the day of check out.

We love this spot nestled among the unique hills and landscape of Trang An. Kids jumped straight into the pool and enjoyed running around, playing on swings, enjoying flowers and gatdens. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was great. Service was also great, Dat was especially helpful even working with us on our Vietnamese.

We have travelled across Hanoi and wanted to spend some time in the country. This place is as near perfect as I think you can get for the location and price. The people that run it cannot do enough for you and the rooms are clean and lovely. The food is a take on British food and for me the breakfast was brilliant. Bread, eggs and some type of sausage, it is the perfect start to the day. You can borrrow the bikes and ride to the boat / cave experience which is maybe 10 minutes away. I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you are going to Vietnam you have to spend a few nights here.

My fiance and I stayed at Trang An Retreat for 3 nights. It was so peaceful and the swimming pool was great. The room was big and clean. The staff was also really helpful and friendly. They helped us plan all our activities and we were able to rent motorbikes from them as well. We had a great time.

Nice small, hotel with bungalows. It is a directly home feeling when you arrive at this place. Very calm and relax certainly at night time. Small swimming pool. The bungalows are clean . Breakfast was good and you can eat in the evening on this place. There is also a motobike rental and bike are free but they are not in such a good shape. People are pollite and very good service. The receptionist mr Dat helps you with everthing and he arrange my train tickets to Hue and also the evening taxi to the railway station. You ask it and you get it. We talk also with is very beautiful girlfriend who work at another hotel and you can see that this people are well educated. By this way Mr. Dat say hello to your girlfriend from the people who give the summer hat to her(don't remember her name,meaby mrs Trang???) I can recommendad this place if you like for a quite place from where you can visit some beautiful place by motobike.…

Excellent option for couples and families, would highly recommend. The staff is so kind and helpul and the rooms were clean. They offer scooters to rent so getting to the surrounding attractions is easy.

We stayed there for two nights (originally 3 but we decided to take a nigh train instead). Staff was SO helpful! They helped us with everything and were super nice. Would definately recommend this place, so beautiful, clean and really nice rooms and the best location. Thank you so much for everything!
