The moment we checked in, we were greeted by friendly staff. The place seems to be in the middle of no where, but when you get to the resort, you are in paradise, and I am from Hawaii and this is paradise for me! Bird watching right outside your cottage, the serenity of hearing the water stream, the people are... More

HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW

It is rustic but very comfortable. The staff is freindly and helpful. The Owner was very helpful with planning our excursion into the rainforest. He gave great suggestions and even helped arrange a fantastic boat tour of the river. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was relaxing and the the fresh water pool was inviting. I can't wait to go back! We spent the weekend in this hotel and it was way more than we expected. We got to see all kinds of wildlife and experienced nature in a whole new way. The staff is super friendly, from Flor who welcomed us as soon as we arrived, to Diego and Bryan who gave us a lovely tour on Horse and took... More

Very nice and clean lodge with lovely staff. It's also great located in the middle of the jungle. Special thanks to Diego, Flor and Brian for that great time. Horseback riding and our walk in the river was a very nice experience :-)

We spent 5 days relaxing and exploring. We arrived the day before Hurricane Otto was heading for Costa Rica's Carribean coast. Some people left for the city but we felt very safe and comfortable so we just waited out the storm. This property is away from all the crowds and billboards pervasive in Arenal. We stayed in a bungalow which... More

Living up to its name, Chachagua Rainforest is located deep in the jungle where you can escape from pretty much everything. I found it extremely relaxing and worth every penny. The horse tours are amazing and I highly recommend them to everyone. The food here is delicious and the staff treat you like family and make you feel at home.... More

We stayed at Chachagua for 1 night. Location: 28 minute drive to La Fortuna, 2.5km (10 minutes) of the drive is on typical bumpy dirt roads- you need a 4x4! Room: chalet and bathroom is tired and needs updating, comfortable bed. Rain can be very noisy on the tin roof. Food: can only comment on breakfast which was mediocre at... More

The lodge is true rainforest paradise, tucked away from the main road and civilization. To get there you have to drive on the unpaved road, but the effort was worth it! While there you forget about the rest of the world. The constant chorus of frogs and rain forest as well as a creek passing on the property makes your... More
