Finca Luna Nueva Lodge is a sustainable rainforest eco-lodge hotel, offering an intimate experience of primary rainforest together with an organic syntropic farm. In 2003 we decided to take our promotion of sustainable practices to the next level by building several beautiful eco-lodges using fallen timber from the farm. Since then we have added a 35 foot high bamboo observation tower, a solar heated Jacuzzi, an ozonated swimming pool, and a handicapped accessible rainforest trail. Now you can experience the Costa Rican rainforest, learn about our farm's sustainable practices and relax in our rustic yet luxurious accommodations. Walk through well-groomed rain forest trails on our guided farm tours and hikes, eat gourmet meals prepared from our fresh organic garden produce, and witness the majesty of the Arenal Volcano. For adventure activity enthusiasts, we are located only 30 minutes from La Fortuna, the adventure capital of Costa Rica, and home of world famous Arenal Volcano. La Fortuna is a must see destination for anyone seeking a thrill, and our experienced staff will be more than happy to schedule all of your activities and tours for you.
The staff are the friendliest, courteous and helpful. The accommodations are amazing, embedded in the rainforest. The food is unlike any I have ever eaten with fresh choices every meal grown in their organic regenerative style of farming. I highly recommend this one of a kind experience. Had such a wonderful stay at fica Luna nueva. The bungalow we stayed in was beautiful . We loved the restaurant and pool. Had one of the best massages ever! The guided tours were great and we enjoyed the hikes we did on our own as well. We did the farm tour. It was fun and very informative. We saw so many amazing critters on the night tour as well! The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We purchased a Bird package for five days. The guides they hire are wonderful I do not recommend the cano negro river outing unless you like being stuck with 40 people in a bus and boat, not birding. The staff at the lodge are excellent and even help you with Spanish. They are always making sure your experience Is wonderful. The food is outstanding, fresh and delicious.

A unique and wonderful stay that makes you feel like you’re tucked away in the middle of the rainforest. Open air restaurant felt served delicious and filling dinners and breakfasts. Pool and jacuzzi provided a sense of luxury. Nice, short hiking trails through the attached farm gave you a true sense of the landscape. We had a rental car which I’d recommend, most of the surrounding sites we went to were about 30 min or more by car.

A beautiful oasis in the jungle. Saw a sloth from the pool area! Staff couldn’t have been nicer and the meals were often a treat — especially breakfast, which is included with the room fee. Definitely need to have a car since hotel is at least 30 minutes from all Arenal and hot springs experiences. Didn’t do any of the tours on site but enjoyed walking around the regenerative farm. A place that really lives by its values.

This place is colossal in the most humbling and beautiful ways. Close to the earth, care and thoughtfulness is everywhere. The staff, the grounds, the amenities - top class! Definitely sad to be leaving La Finca but so grateful to have experienced so much of what it has to offer!! Definitely recommend!!!

What an amazing place. Kind, helpful and efficient staff, really incredible food and understanding of veganism, nature doing its thing everywhere you look. We stayed in two different rooms - one in Casa Luna and then in one of the Casitas. I actually preferred the first room as it was closer to reception and the restaurant and had the great elevated view of the forest. They were both beautiful and comfortable though. We did a couple of external tours that the Finca staff organised for us and they were great and all the logistics were smooth and problem free. Sooo glad we took a punt on staying here instead of in La Fortuna town!
