Quick 2 night stay as a family of 3. Great accommodations. Nice family suite. Both beds were nice and the room was huge! Tv with cable was great. Bathroom was again, very large by European standards. VERY clean. Amenities were refreshed daily. Plenty of shampoo for the family. Food was beyond great. Are 2 dinners and both breakfasts here. Dinner... More

Short break at the hotel. Nice place to stay. Room ok: good mattress on the bed and nice big telly! The bathroom was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. Didn't eat dinner because we didn't fancy the menu.

A small inn, far enough from Tintern Abbey to avoid the tourist crowds yet near enough to enjoy a few minutes walk to enjoy. he staff are terrific, there is a great little well stocked bar and small beer garden, friendly locals and very good pub food. Only 4 bedrooms, but they are well fitted out and very quiet. Central... More

We met up with family and friends here on recommendation from one of the friends ... They were oh so right! The food was great in quality & quantity. Service was good. Prices average for a rural pub restaurant however the range on offer was superior and the quality made the place seem terrific value! Well worth a visit!

The Wye Valley Hotel represents a real value for money venue, it's not boutique or five star but what it does it does very well. The food served up in the friendly bar or restaurant is well cooked and served, Barry the owner is ever present to make sure all runs smoothly, a true professional of the hospitality industry. As... Stayed for two nights with various parts of the family and loved it. Barry and Sue are the most accommodating hosts and made sure our stay was so much better than expected. They consistently went out of their way to facilitate what became a very memorable family gathering. Thanks guys! Being from Australia, we loved the typical UK pub feel,... More

We visit the beautiful Wye Valley several times a year and the Wye Valley Hotel is our go to place to stay. We have been coming back for over ten years now and always love staying here. The hotel and bar are full of character and the owners Barry and Sue and their staff are just great hosts. The food... More

Great welcome late into the evening for two tired cyclists. Chepstow was full so we had to keep going. Sue & Barry made us very welcome. They were used to dealing with cyclists and had a safe storage place for our bikes and kit. Comfortable rooms and nice bath. Food was excellent. Evening meal delicious. I'd recommend the cheese and... More

Want to say a huge thank you to sue and Barry and everyone else at the hotel for making my day so perfect. We got married across the road in the church and straight over here for the reception. Right from the start of the planning of the wedding Sue and Barry went out of there way to make sure... More

We were looking for somewhere to eat and found this place only because we were visiting Tintern Abbey. The publican is a wonderful chap and, we presume, his wife rustles up some excellent grub. He was very good at knowing when to chat and was very amenable. Definitely somewhere that I would return to when in the area.
