WE booked the very comfortable spotlessly clean double bedroom on the front of the house which overlooks the river from a higher level. The large bed was really comfortable and the linen changed three times in the week with fresh towels regularly and quality toiletries. The breakfasts were leisurely with such a lot of delicious choices of cereal, juices, cooked...

My only complaint about our room at Tintern Old Rectory was that we were there too briefly. The room was beautiful, with a sweet garden (that it was, sadly, too cold to enjoy) and a window seat! The owners were very kind and accommodating, despite our late arrival, and we enjoyed one of the best breakfasts of our entire trip...

We, five of us, were walking the Offas Dyke path south from Monmouth and had booked a one night stay here in two rooms. We booked in very easily and were shown to our rooms which were very good, particularly the beds which gave us a very good night`s sleep. However it is the breakfast that has to be experienced....

The proprietors are friendly and welcoming. Comfortable rooms. The breakfasts are out of this world. How often do you see salmon omelettes or Arbroath smokies (alongside traditional 'full'), let alone a separate menu for the wide range of home-made jams and marmalades to accompany the home-made bread?!

We stayed here about three years ago and loved the location and the food. We returned for the Easter break this year and found it just as enjoyable as we remembered. Breakfasts are superb -- guaranteed to fill your belly for a long day of walking in the Wye Valley. Beds have high quality mattresses making it easy to have...

We booked to stay at the Old Rectory for one night, but when we turned up the next day it turned out that we had accidentally booked for a week later! Anika and Ian still allowed us to stay that night and were very welcoming. The guest house was extremely clean and well-decorated. I enjoyed the vintage feeling of the...

Love Tintern, had the opportunity to get away for a couple of days, I am so happy I found this beautifully historic building. I had an answer message informing me Anika and Ian were shopping until 4pm on my arrival day, I arrive early, my fault, but I'm glad I did. I sat outside the rectory, just looking across the...

Took my partner for a night away and was greeted with a warm happy smile. Both Ian and his lovely wife have a super warm friendly B&B. Breakfast was wonderful and plenty of choice. I would recommend the Canadian waffles with bacon and maple syrup yummy. We would definitely stay there again. If you want warm cozy friendly helpful, then...
