Jules the owner went out of her way to make me welcome and ensured I had everything I needed. Her breakfast was very generous and you help yourself to food in the breakfast room. The bedroom, bathroom and breakfast room were very comfortable. Lots of hot water.

Want something a little bit different? Well here it is. Fabulous to come back to at the end of the day after enjoying the coastline and amenities around. Lots of little extras each day. Jules couldn't be more helpful and has a wonderful sense of humour. Shame it is such a long way from us. Highly recommended.

Seeking to recharge your batteries then look no further.Peace, comfort and a wonderful atmosphere placed as if by magic in glorious Scottish countryside in the midst of the soft fruit growing country. The strawberries delivered to our room were a daily treat. Breakfast set us up for the day and reflected the fine selection of local food, Just five minutes from a glorious sandy bay, and about the same distance from a village with an outstanding restruant, We spent much of our time sitting on the balcony watching the birds and sipping wine. Paradise.

What a magical place this is to stay. Facilities are first class. beautifully decorated throughout, wonderful en suite with our own outside access and private patio, so we could come and go at our leisure. Julie, our hostess is such a warm, lovely lady, and a veritable mine of information on what to do and where to go in this special part of the world. The Lodge is in a very private setting, in colourful grounds, and the added bonus of interacting with the horses and donkeys on site, so cute ! Would highly recommend this 5 star property to anyone staying in the Montrose, or Arbroath area. Thanks Jules for a marvellous few days, its been epic !! Moira Rossiter
