Short trip to Ullswater for cycling, walking - had nearly missed this gem - stopped off for beer and booked a table . Fantastic - soooo pleased that businesses like this exist - great mushrooms on toast (yes, I know it doesn't sound much, but trust me) - great duck, great chicken, pannacotta and lemon tart - book now.

We visited this resultant on a Friday night and had to book a week in advance due to its popularit. We weren't dissaponted the food was excellent quality and the service was second to none. Small portioned allowed us to try all three courses and all were delicious and presented perfectly. A must if you are in the area.

What a fab little place this is. The decor in the restaurant is really well done with great attention to detail. The restaurant gets very busy so if you want to eat whilst staying you will need to book. The food for the evening meal is very special. Great flavours and perfectly presented. But small portions. Breakfast was fantastic. Room... More

Stayed here July 2016 and was really impressed with the quality of the hotel, rooms, decor and the gorgeous food. Great place to stay to explore the Ullswater way which we did over two days. Really welcoming and willing to please . Would highly recommend this place as haven to explore the delights of Ullswater.

Opened within the last 12 months, this is exactly what this little village needed. It is small and compact with a bar and a tastfully decorated dining room of about 10 tables. The menu is frequently updated and there is a good selection of wines. The gourmet food is expertly cooked and well presented and served. A three course meal... More

came across this on the Friday afternoon to find it already booked up for the Friday so opted for the Sunday evening. apparently cleverly converted house into bar/ club area with leather armchairs etc then an intimate dining area followed by a sunroom with glass on two sides which becomes an echo chamber for the whole restaurant when the big... We stayed there for one night and had an amazing time. The owners and the staff team are welcoming warm and accommodating. We had two rooms, both beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Dinner was out of this world, so delicious, beautifully presented and nice variety menu. Breakfast was served in a beautifully decorated part of the restaurant with lovely view... More
