Came here today as the previous time we came it was lovely (2017). We ordered the cheese and bacon burger and they came out swimming in grease. When we mentioned this to the barman when we left and he didn't seem Interested.

Visited on recent trip to the Lakes. Good menu choices. Service was good as was the food ordered. Good selection of drinks including local beers. Nice outside seating area and good parking, a bonus as the village is very popular.
me and my partner had food here twice over our weekend stay and food was nice with fairly decent portions. fish and chips are massive with one of the biggest fish I've seen. and really nice too. the only problem is when it gets busy...More
Staff were lovely, unfortunately beware the man who walks round being extremely rude to customers if you have a problem with anything, he comes across as a member of staff, this is Not the case, turns out he is the taxi driver 🙄

We just stayed for a couple of nights in room 11. Big room, huge balcony. A bit quaint and old fashioned but spotlessly clean, great comfy bed. Very quiet and some really interesting artifacts and décor. Not too sure about the carpet in the loo...More
