We stayed fpr 1 night at this place. We had a very warm welcome, but the room Nr 2 is dark and small, so next time we should takea nother room. Dinner was very good with moderate prices. Parking behind the house is good.

We arrived at hotel and couldn't get in even though there were16 of us. No staff and answering machine not in English. Half an hour of waiting and finally the phone was answered. Waited another 10 mins and the man opened the door told us to go around the back and closed it again. He met us at the back,gave...

Beautiful position in the French Alps, a quaint chalet with all the trimmings. The summer manager (I'm assuming there's more than one?) was not present when we arrived to a locked reception at 4pm and took 3 phone calls to come to our aid. He didn't speak English and was most unaccommodating. Dinner that night was the same with two...

Although the rooms were small, the place itself was really nice and totally to recommend. The staff was helpful and friendly. The menu for people who stayed at their place was 20€ and was worth it. I would revisit the place immediately.

The auberge is situated in an idilic little village situated on a mountain above Briancon city. At 10 minutes walk there is a ski gondola with connection to Prorel and Serre Chevalier ski areas. Next to the auberge there is an old church (be aware that every half hour the church's bells start to ring form 7 am to 22...

A group of us were hiking a section of the GR5 over 12 days and I had booked all the accommodation in advance. Auberge de Catherine was slightly off our route but it had appealed to me as the location looked wonderful with fantastic views over the area surrounding Briancon. It also looked lovely and the dinner had positive reviews....

Very good location (just on our way through Les Grandes Alpes), quiet, nice balcony. One of the three rooms was tiny. Wi-fi everywhere. Not a word of English spoken by any of the staff. Food tasty but outrageously expensive for the size of the dishes. Breakfast very limlited, both in variety and ammount. A long drive from the city (50...

We kept driving higher and higher until we finally reached the hotel. It was perched high above Briancon with wonderful views. The room was of average size but the veranda made it seem larger. The veranda was a perfect, relaxing place for late afternoon wine and cheese. Convenient parking was available onsite. There was no elevator so it was necessary...

We stayed one night on a trip in the french alps. You have to park the car outside on a natural place - when it is raining like it did on our arrival you will make dirty your shoes and maybee also your bags! At the check-in the lady from reception was not shure if the rooms are reserved for...

.. of wonderful situation high above Briancon and a pleasing ambiance . The rooms are comfortable, clean and pleasantly decorated. The restaurant appears to be a centre for village life and fills up steadily during the evening resulting in a very relaxed, congenial atmosphere. The meals themselves are straightforwardly good and the house wine is fine. All in all , a good...
