This is a wonderful place to stay. Cozy and clean with a wonderful kitchen for cooking almost anything. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. Its ideally located for Alton Towers (15 mins drive away) and set in beautiful countryside. Plus the local pub is awesome. Had a wonderful time celebrating my 40th birthday with friends.

Rock House Farm Cottages are just delightful. We stayed in Hedgehog cottage and were not disappointed. The cottage is warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. The kitchen is fully equipped and functional. The lounge and bedrooms are pleasantly decorated, spacious and neat with everything you need. The cottage was spotlessly clean and tidy and full of games... More

From the moment I booked the cottages I received a 5 star service from Carol who was actively trying to help answer any questions about my stay. Great to hire all cottages and have lots of people staying. Lovely location and accommodation.

Lovely, homely farm cottages, great location for Alton Towers, 4 miles or so, and also great for exploring the Peak District. Facilities were top notch, kitchen, living space showers, bathrooms all A1, very hand for pub for eating and drinking after a hard days theme parking. Very welcoming easy enough to find, bur do your homework before you go, or... More

The previous reviews say it all- spotlessly clean, well equipped, cosy and inviting. We stayed in Badger for almost two weeks and felt like we were leaving home when we had to depart! The setting is lovely, the views from out the back where the kids play are great;take advantage of the garden seat and soak in the view. Our... More

..and it was even better! Despite our reservations about Staffordshire Moorland in mid October, we returned for the Alton Towers Scare Fest, opting to stay again at Rock House Farm. Since we last visited, the cottages have been immaculately maintained, including new beds! Middle daughter was heard to comment 'I wish I could take my bed home, its so much... More

I don't give out 5 stars very easily on tripadvisor, but the Rock House Farm holiday cottages deserve nothing less! My family and I went en mass and booked out all 3 cottages, Badger, Hedgehog and Dormouse, each was as gorgeous and perfect as the next! This was our second visit in as many years and we will most certainly... More

We have always found Hedgehog Cottage to be very well appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything you could possible need to enjoy time exploring the local area. Carol and Ken have always made us feel very welcome and we always enjoy a game of fetch with Max (the doggy). On every occasion we have arrived to a generous welcome... More

We stayed for five nights at Badger Cottage with 2 children (2 yo and 4 yo) and grandparent and had a fabulous time. The cottage was spotless and thoughtfully appointed. We really couldn't think of a single thing to improve. We weren't expecting the little play area and it was a great bonus, the kids played on the trampoline, swings... More

What a lovely place to stay. Great cottage (dormouse) clean with everything we needed. Super gardens with trampoline and swings etc. Carol and Ken were very welcoming and helpful and our boys absolutely loved playing with Max their dog. Fantastic location, lovely quiet village but 10mins from alton towers and lots of other local attractions. Great cycling too in the... More
