We stayed a couple of nights here to get away from the bustle of touring Ghana away from any village and set back a bit, so quiet. Pleasant, relaxing and very interesting lake (formed by meteorite impact). Plenty of time to have a few beers and restaurant was good for local food. Good couple of days.

Wonderful place - inexpensive, excellent food, and with nice staf (especially Gabbi was very helpful and could fix everything)! And who can say no to a Gin Tonic for 8 Cedi (not even 2 dollars)? Highly recommendable!

Just spent the weekend at this guest house and am thoroughly enchanted by the place. Beautiful lush gardens. Beautiful birds flying all around. Quiet and a fully resourcing experience. Nice little restaurant, great food, good prices. Nice breakfast and cappuccino. Comfortable and very large huts, with all the amenities. Great price (20$US). Cost me around 45$ US per day, including all lunches, wine, beer and great cappuccino. Well worth the price.

The location of the place is nice especially with the private beach on the lake. Thw littlw houses are cute. The food was ok but the filtert coffee was a disappointment. Thereby it is a shame that the fresh fruit salad is not comming out of their own garden.

It's not often I review lower than the majority of others' however, I have to say I have been disappointed with my experience at Lake Point. There is no denying the location is beautiful, as is the well laid out chalets amongst coconut trees and other lush vegetation. The room I had lovely and spacious. However, I think my disappointment starts right at the beginning when booking, which I did over the phone speaking to Stephen direct. All was good, price agreed, but then I did happen to then look on booking.com and it was cheaper on there by quite a bit. I phoned again and was told that prices had gone up but booking.com had not changed it. Feeling a little bit bad I agreed to honour the higher rate. Maybe that's what has raised my expectation. As I said my room was lovely, however I had to go and get a toilet roll from the bar as there was none, and didn't spot that there was also. I said and just used my own. In addition, the room was not serviced on the second day. Lake Point has a reputation (according to the guide books) for serving the best food in the area and certainly my first meal did not disappoint: chicken massala with chunky and plentiful chicken in a very tasty sauce. Red wine please? (Advertised by glass on a special board at a reasonable rate). No we don't have any. White wine then? No we don't have any of that either! May I suggest then that you take your board down advertising wine? Beer it was. I tried to organize a boat trip but was quoted a very expensive price for just 15 mins. Breakfast is not included in the prices (either the original or the inflated) and I was disappointed that I could not just get one bit of the breakfast - it was all or nothing and I didn't want to pay the high price when only wanted one bit. So, I completed a lovely walk around some of the lake and spent my money and time at another guesthouse (the one with the horses that serves delicious and very reasonably priced tasty food). I returned in the evening, eager to try another dish from their menu, but sadly ... no, we can't do the chicken panna (despite it being on their board menu) ok.. I'll have the dish I had yesterday then... sorry can't do that one either..so I'll have the prawn massala. Four prawns only! Disappointing. This place might be riding on tourists coming because of their write up in the Lonely Planet and Brady guide - which is why I chose it.. sadly though, especially if you're going to raise your prices, the detail and experience of every customer counts.
