Aqua Bay is hands down the best villa in all of Tryall. To start. We were picked up by Garfield. He came recommended to us by Aqua Bay. Incredibly friendly, great driver, and was so kind in answering our questions about Jamaica. Upon arrival to the house. We received a very warm welcome by the staff, and the signature Aqua Bay welcome drink! The Aqua Bay team provided top tier care. Here’s some of the highlights. Andre is the Butler. He was very attentive, and has an attention for detail. Anything you need, he’s on it! We sat in the sunset pool almost every evening. Andre made sure our drinks were full, the fire pit was going, and set up the corn hole game for us. He made every amenity experience enjoyable. Lennox, the chef. Cooks the most exquisite food that will send your tastebuds into over drive. PRO TIP! Request his pumpkin soup. It was to die for. Chef’s menu is endless. We gave him full autonomy when preparing our meals and he didn’t disappoint. Cereka, the housekeeper was so incredibly sweet. Every night she had a relaxing diffuser going, fresh water in case you get thirsty in the middle of the night, and beautifully delivered our fresh laundry daily. Highlights of the property. The tee off for the 17th hole is directly in front of the house. You’re close enough, but far enough from the beach club to enjoy Reggae Night, and maintain the serene sounds of Jamaica. The house balances the openness of Jamaica and the comforts of home. The real design gem of Aqua Bay is the art work! Local artistry displayed throughout home is an experience in itself. If you’re looking for a relaxing villa for a family vacation, a business retreat, golf enthusiast, or a girls trip like us. Then hands down, this is the place to be.

Aqua Bay is hands down the BEST villa I’ve ever been to. The home is immaculate and the staff is outstanding. They’ve won many awards like best chef and best butler and once you stay you will see why. Cereka is a lovely housekeeper. She made sure we had clean clothes, turndown service, lavender oils in a diffuser - truly anything you want or need. She returns your clothes wrapped up and it just makes you feel special. Chef Lennox makes the best food you will ever eat. Anything you want, he can make it. He is seriously the most talented chef ever. It’s going to be hard to go back to eating regular food. Try his mousses and soups. You won’t be disappointed. Andrae is the butler and makes the whole experience by making sure you feel at home. He sets the table gorgeous for every meal! He can mix any drink from fancy coffees to frozen cocktails. And he does it with a smile on his face. He is precious! I can see why he won Butler of the Year. He’s incredible at his job. From the time you walk in you will feel welcomed and when you leave you’ll feel like you’re leaving your best friends. The house itself is striking. Each room is a suite. The beds are so comfortable. The color scheme, furniture, and artwork make you feel like you’re in a magazine. There are outside showers and tubs! There is a full gym, spa complete with massage tables, and the most gorgeous view out of every window. The landscaping is made to where every single window you look out of there is something gorgeous to look at. The sand beach was ideal for days we didn’t want to go in the ocean. The main pool has a lane for swimming laps which is great after you eat Chef Lennox’s food! There is also a sunset pool on the deck overlooking the water. The jacuzzi was on every night and we were happy to sit in there after dinner and drinks. No detail was left out on this villa. The golf carts were very fun to drive around Tryall and explore. It was a nice way to see different areas. The water wheel was very cool to see. Getting to Aqua Bay is a very short trip from Montego Bay. Once you’re in Tryall, you don’t have to leave. There is a small commissary in Tryall that has some fun Jamaican snacks and drinks and if you’ve forgotten anything, the staff will help you get it. We used a driver named Garfield that was recommended to us by Aqua Bay. He was great. His bus was large and he carried all of our bags in and out. He picked us up at the airport and dropped us off when it was time to go. He is very knowledgable about the area and can recommend things to do all around town if you’d like. I’m looking forward to my next trip to Aqua Bay already! If you’re looking for the ultimate luxury villa, this is it!

Bella Vista was simply amazing. My husband and I were lucky enough to stay a week with friends of ours and it was one of the best vacations ever. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and smiles by the entire house staff, Tashaun, Barrington, Karleen, Charmaine, Keisha, and Mervin. As Tashaun took us on a tour of the home and I walked through the foyer and out to the pool, I was in awe of the view; the infinity pool and ocean sparkled in the sunlight and the grounds were pristine. Each step through the home, I gained such an appreciation for the care and effort that went into every architectural detail and design. The staff complimented the home beautifully; Chef Barrington sat down with us the first night as we were offered Rum Punch and enjoyed the warm evening. We talked through our meals for the week and he and Teshaun shopped for us the next day. Every morning I woke up to Mervin cleaning our pool and greeting me with a shy smile and a twinkle in his eye! Barrington would have fresh cookies and banana bread and Teshaun would have coffee ready for us. Each of the ladies attended to our every need and added their own touches; Keisha made the animals on our beds everyday out of towels, Karleen singing happy birthday, and Charmaine's quiet kindness that made me just know that she was taking care of everything. I'm sorry to read that other travelers have not had a similar experience. The Tryall Property is stunning. The private beach was a favorite place to go where we all either used paddle boards, kayaks, or snorkeling equipment provided with the rental of the villa and some of us hopped on the Hobie Cat for some extra fun. The bartenders at the beach bar were so much fun! The pool was equally spectacular. Yes our trip was during COVID and we didn't see as many tourists as I expect there would normally be which means things were not available ("Jamaica Night" at the restaurant as an example), but our group didn't worry about such trivial things. We were in paradise and the Bella Vista was more than we could have imagined. We hope to make it back!

Bella Vista was amazing. The staff (Tashaun, Barrington, Karleen, Charmaine, Keisha and Mervin) all welcomed us at the door and became a part of our family. The villa, the staff, the food, the view, the grounds - all exceeded our expectations. Tashaun made sure we had everything we needed and saw a good mix of sites. The Jamaican people are all very positive and kind. We hope to be back soon!

I see all the good reviews of this resort and I wonder how could they be? Did they go to the same resort I did?? We stayed in this property in a villa, called Avalon for 9 days, and let me tell you not only this was the worst trip I have ever gone to but these were the worst 9 days of my life!! I felt helpless, lied to and taken advantage of. When I booked this villa 5 days prior to our departure, I asked their reservation if their special event nights, their restaurants and all the resort amnesties were open and in what capacity because I thought maybe they are open with restrictions or limitation due to Covid, I talked with Candice Browning, from reservation numerously and she reassured me every thing (including entertainment such as reggae night and restaurants) are open and operational and the resort is booked at 50% capacity with mask wearing and physical distancing, sounded great! So, I booked. Except that they lied to us. When we got there we were told all entertainment nights were cancel not because of Covid, but because of low occupancy, they were maybe at 10% occupancy!! The resort looked like a ghost town, empty, deserted and abundant. There was only one restaurant open during day time at the beach, it opened at 11 am to mid afternoon serving the same fast food type of lunch everyday, and for dinner they open the restaurant IF you made reservation and pre ordered otherwise no food at night. So, basically the staff at the villa (the cook, butler and housekeeper) are suppose to shop groceries for you and cook for your meals, in our case THEY decided to shop only from the commissary at the property that sales only limited frozen meat and vegetables and other things and it really was like a convenient store and feed us frozen and canned food!!! once I realized that I asked them to go to a real market and paid extra $300 for that but no such luck I still got frozen fish.. also the cook did very little effort in preparing meals I could not even eat her spaghettis with meat balls, most of the toasts and pancakes every morning were burnt, and usually the kitchen filled with smoke. By the way eating in the villa ended up being even more expensive for us than going to that one half opened restaurant. There was a layer of filth smeared on top of the microwave and the fridge door in the kitchen and not necessarily if you told the cook what you liked to eat you would get what you asked, for example your vegetarian omelet could have ham in it.. the worst was when the commissary was closed for days due to someone contracting Covid working there, which the management kept a secret from the guests (we realized it by a coincident), there were never any notices sent to guests warning them that they may have come in contact with Covid or even why the supermarket was closed. The other problem was that there was now even less options for food, this place looked like a prison, a bad dream and I wished I never booked it. We talked to the management, a vacation should not feel and be like this, Richard from the management offered us 15% discount to eat at the restaurant that night! he had nothing else to say.. what an insult.. do yourself and your family a favor do not go to this place. There were many many other issues with this property like the toilet in my kids room that leaked the whole time or the Wifi that never worked in our villa. I cannot describe how bitter happy I was on our last day to go back home.

Response from Arla Vernon Gordon, Marketing at Tryall Club
Responded 4 weeks ago
Hello 824morgann, The management team has reviewed the experience you expressed to have had while at the Club. We were very disturbed as our sole objective for our guests is to ensure they have the best experience. To date, we have had almost perfect reviews. We have had so many of our guests express how much of a wonderful time they had and the beautiful memories they make each year. The Club is reputed for our extremely high repeat busy from multigenerational vacationers. The commissary on property has been providing our guests and villas with a variety of goods. It is extremely convenient. Also, it is stocked with items ordered and brought in by local and overseas suppliers in direct correlation with villa needs as per guests arriving and already in-house. We apologize sincerely for what you described and will certainly continue to look into any compromise in quality of service. We look to maintain the excellence we have come to be known for and so, will seek to improve in the areas we find any weaknesses in. Though disappointing, we thank you for your review as this will point us toward specific areas we may need to sharpen.
