We loved our stay at the Magic Reef. The property has a stunning setting, is beautifully maintained and peaceful. The whole team is friendly and welcoming. There were so many lovely personal touches that you can only get at a small property with wonderful people. The bungalows are well equipped, very clean and a pleasure to stay in. We liked having the option of easy to reach restaurants, as well as self-catering - with a hob/sink/fridge in the bungalow and a communal BBQ. Great to have inhouse solar panels powering the high quality electric cars and bikes, available to hire. A highlight was watching a whale breach just beyond the reef in front of the resort. I am not sure it gets much better than sitting on your own deck watching the waves dance on the reef. Many thanks Lawrence, Simonne, Jayne and Talullah.

Me and my pregnant wife had a lovely 6 days in a bungalow, and couldn't rate Magic Reef highly enough. All staff are lovely and caring, we always felt welcomed and comfortable. The area has multiple restaurants a close walk away, but you wouldn't know it with how quiet it is. Cars and bikes are available onsite to hire worry free, and snorkel gear free for use. Thanks guys, we'll be back.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our trip to Rarotonga and my only regret is not staying at the Magic Reef Bungalows for longer! The actual bungalow was super clean, comfortable and well designed. I loved the outdoor bath and the fruit platter on arrival! Special shout out to Jayne who was looking after the place. She went above and beyond to ensure that my partner and I had everything we needed and she was just such a lovely welcoming person all round! Thanks Jayne, we'll be back :-)

Hard to fault our experience. A very well maintained resort with well appointed bungalows . A good location, with many eating facilities near by. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great transport options of ebikes and electric cars on site to hire. Nice pool area.

I have stayed at FIVE different places in Rarotonga, and this is BY FAR the best. First, the FRIENDLINESS. So HELPFUL. So accomodating. Need anything? They can help, with a smile. This makes SO much difference. Every other place I've stayed in Rarotonga had an attitude of either surly-unhelpful or “oh, no, sorry dear, I can't help you with that” — nice but ultimately unhelpful. It doesn't help to have great facilities if the staff is surly. The rooms are great. The location, the rooms, the private outdoor baths, the pool, the beach of course, the view. Everything. Even the price. (One suggestion: using a rake instead of leaf-blower when cleaning the grounds would make it so much quieter.)

Perfect for our one week stay - accommodation very clean and tidy, with great boat-shaped pool. Walking distance from a couple of eateries, e-bikes and e-cars available - go as you won't be disappointed!

We stayed here 3 long years ago and as soon as we could we returned. The bungalow is on the beach (No 1) and I just can't describe how good that is, so close the ocean and sand. All nestled around the pool which is a constant depth and very funky. No bar or restaurant which is a plus, plenty up and down easy walking distance via the beach or road. Electric cars or bike on site so easy to get around. We love Raro, the restaurants are exceptional and people friendly and the island clean and e=welcoming. We will be back.

My wife and I stayed in a very clean and comfortable bungalow right near the beach, great sunset views. Magic Reef's electric cars are ideal for visiting all around the island with the bonus of having no petrol costs at all (just a modest rental charge). Lovely swmming pool. Off the beach, we did find the reef a bit shallow for swimming at times (had to pick high tide) but that's a very minor thing. Our hosts were knowledgable and friendly. They helped with whatever we wanted and picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the end. We would love to come back sometime. We highly recommend.

Nice comfortable bungalow with plenty of room. Outdoor shower, fridge, cooktop, air conditioner, complimentary filtered water and ice. Lovely garden and beach front area, nice pool area. Swimming with the complimentary snorkelling gear and reef shoes is best when the tide is in. Some great eating, drinking & sunset spots within walking distance. The paid wifi was good, the TV reception not so good. There are electric cars and electric bikes for hire. Currently with only 9 bungalows available the property is personal yet private. Bungalow 1, 2, 3 & 4 have the best views.

What a fantastic place to stay if you want a small, intimate resort. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The setting is one of the best on the Island. Our bungalow had everything we needed and we loved the outdoor shower & bath. Each bungalow has a small deck with loungers and a small table. In addition, there is a lovely deck by the beach with hammocks to relax in. There is a pirate ship shaped pool with beautiful coloured laterns that are lit up at night. We rented one of their e-cars for the week we were there and found it to be great value. We will certainly return!
