Hard to know where to start really but we have absolutely no hesitation in awarding five stars. We stayed here for 8 nights as part of a 9 week around the world trip and our time at Aro'a beach was most definitely a highlight. The location is perfect with a wonderfully quiet beach area and great snorkeling conditions even at low... My wife and I stayed at Aro'a beachside for four nights for a short break at the end of October. I hesitate to call it a resort because it doesn't have that feel. For me it felt very much like our own space,we could choose to be as private or as sociable as we liked. A home away from home.... More

We only had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights but had a very good time. Shipwreck bar (which is on the property) is very cool and relaxed. We had dinner there one night; the menu was simple but the food tasty. There is a nice hammock where one can enjoy the ocean breeze while sipping on cocktails. Snorkeling... More

Kia Orana, Thank you for your great, informative review. It's a shame that you only had 2 nights here as you only just start to get a flavour of the Aro'a Beachside Inn and the beautiful island of Rarotonga. Sorry that you thought the airport transfers were expensive. We only charge what the transport company charges us, we don't make... More

Nice setting, right on the beach front, less than 50m to the water. The owners make it very personal getting to know their visitors and taking the time to sit down with each to explain the island and what is good and not so good to see and visit. Beautiful breakfast of fresh fruit and lovely muffin straight out of... More

Had a great stay at Aro'a Beachside Inn. We needed an access room to accommodate a wheelchair user and the room was almost perfect. Ramped entrance, wet floor shower and easy to get around the unit. The grab rails were just a little awkward but am assured these will be rectified. Easy access to the restaurant just across the way with... More

We spent over two great weeks at Aroa Beachside. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable (no A/C but we only had a couple of nights that were too warm). The breakfast was good: coffee, freshly baked muffins, fresh fruit and juice. The beach is beautiful with white sand - snorkeling from the beach is good.... More

Highlights included welcome cocktails, sumptuous tropical breakfasts and watching glorious sunsets, accompanied by the sight of migrating Humpback whales. Gear is available for canoeing and snorkelling on the reef – I saw a ray and others saw turtles. Musical entertainment in the iconic Shipwreck bar is excellent, though always well time managed. This is a peaceful and relaxing oasis, catering... More
