We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Our room was spacious (3 double beds for 2 persons) and had AC and hot water. The hotel itself seems to be under renovations, there are materials and tools here and there but we didn't see any work being done. It is ideally situated in town, walking distance from the ferry. We also...

Clean and comfortable with nice bathrooms. Good value for semi-private rooms. Also, it's 200m from the ferry terminal. Ask for a friendly chap called Robinson if you need any help or advice for the local area, including scooter hire for $10 a day. Only downside is that the social/communal area isn't very nice, and therefore isn't great for meeting other...

I have been here several times... And it's a really nice place for a good price!! A/C in the rooms.. Hot water... Beachy vibes... But most importantly a really helpful owner! I've been to his hostel as well (yogis) ... Which is great for backpackers and chill vibes! His family also owns a scooter shop.. Which is cheap and super...

We stayed here for just one night in Ometepe because we arrived too late to organise anything else. The hostel looks very basic but our private room with 2 double beds and a private bathroom was surprisingly comfortable. The guy running the hostel is really helpful and friendly and speaks excellent English. The place feels pretty dead but, if you're...

We intentionally booked this place because it had air conditioning to try and escape the Nicaraguan heat. On Booking.com the price was listed at $30 a night with air conditioning included, the pictures of the room also showed an air conditioner. Before we arrived I intentionally wrote to the owner that we wanted a room with air conditioning like the...

We were completely deceived and swindled by this place. The website is misleading because the American Cafe and Hotel is no longer owned by an American couple. It is run by the Robinson family - the prices are different, the cafe no longer operates, and our experience was much different than we expected after reading so many positive reviews. It...

Let me say that this hotel has just recently changed ownership/management. While not perfect, the new owner Robinson, a young Nicraguan is fluent in English as few of his competitors are and ever helpful as he rebuilds. The Cabinas are large, secure, CLEAN, A/Ced, hot water with pressure & most importantly, there is nothing that he won't do to ensure...

We stayed at this place because The Landing was full. The guy who runs the place speaks good English. This place has no character and was empty for the most part. We had lizards in our room and it seemed the cockroaches were eating the bathroom cupboard. (we saw 4 huge cockroaches in our room) Other than that, our room...

We decided to stay in this hotel because I have read good reviews and the owners are good cook. The website still features the couple that owns the hotel. Since the website doesn't do online booking, I sent an email if there are available room on the date we plan to visit. I got a reply back from Robinson and...

I didn't stay here but two friends I traveled with did and had nothing but good things to say. I ate breakfast and it was best American style breakfast I've had in Nicaragua. The owner is an American man who can usually be found sitting in the lobby or in his office right next to the lobby. He's super cool...
