We stayed in Wild Mahseer during our visit to Assam to celebrate our first marriage anniversary. Its a nice and clean hotel. It has some character which can not be found in any of the luxury 4* or 5* hotels. Rooms are full of art pieces and furniture which makes the room less look like a hotel but more like... More

One of the best home stays ever... The property is situated adjoining a large tea plantation... There are varios bungalows on the property all have British Colonial Architecture... We missed out on the stay in the heritage bungalow... all bungalows have huge bedrooms and en suite bathroom, with big living areas, patio, kitchen and front yard.. There are maids 24x7... More

A lovely place to stay amidst lush lush mini forest and vast tea gardens with enchanting bird chirpings all through the day. A very calm place very tastefully decorated. Visited the 110 year old British main bungalow which was beautifully decorated. Was amazed. A well maintained property with neat rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. The food ,snacks and... We stayed in Silver Tips for three nights with our two young children and were nothing short of overwhelmed by the location, the properties, the hospitality and the food. The management couldn't have done any more for us, the Indian food at lunch was the best we've had in 18 months of living in this country and the English food... More

Set amidst tea gardens, this is a tastefully redecorated tea estate that has converted its bungalows into five star home stays, in true British tradition. Each cottage is tastefully done up and has 2-3 guest rooms, plus dining and living room and kitchen. The bungalows actually serve as a repository of a private art collection. The Balipara Foundation also has... More

Not sure what other reviewers expected from the opportunity to stay in an authentic Tea Plantation that is over 100 years old. We found from the moment we were picked up at the airport to the time we were dropped off a week later, that were we were pampered to the extreme. The bungalow that we stayed in was huge,... More

We stayed at Wild Mahseer for 2 days, starting March 24, and it was a disappointing experience. We are wildlife/nature enthusiasts and stayed at this place with the intent of visiting Nameri national park. The folks at Wild Mahseer did not have any useful information to offer related to Nameri. The accommodation was spacious, but not worth the steep price... More

Don't waste your time coming here unless you want to visit the nearby Nameri national park. The sales manager who takes your bookings is located in Mumbai (as we found out later) and there's absolutely no coordination between him and the operational guys on location. We had problems with our transport, and no arrangements were made, as promised, for us... More

We assumed the car sent to pick us up at the Guwahati airport, organised by the hotel, would know where we were going.
