What a wonderful experience - the hotel made the holiday for our group. Loulou and her staff looked after us so well and did something extra special every day. A lovely welcome drink, a homemade treat left in our room, a cookery demonstration….and nothing was too much trouble. I will never forget the Liotopi hotel, and hope to visit again soon.

What a wonderful hotel! Run by Loulou and her great staff. We visited 10 years ago and the friendly hotel hasn’t changed much, but there are many more beach bars and holidaymakers. We got a lovely breakfast in the garden everyday, home made delicacies and good coffee. We were welcomed with a drink of our choice (beer) and a snack and had little surprises most days and nothing was too much trouble. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. Loulou gave us a kettle and cups and we were very comfortable in our room. We had half board and meals are taken at the Akroiyiali, run by Loulou’s very generous, hard working and friendly brother, Dimitris. It is across the road and on the beach and the seafood is excellent. If you want to stay in Olymbiada, there cannot be a better place! Thankyou Loulou, we will miss you and your lovely brother.

Magical stay with our host Lulu. It is like a home away from home. We stayed in the newly built attic with a beautiful view. Breakfast was made fresh every day by the lovely staff. We had half board which included a great lunch or dinner at a restaurant very close by

The hotel is everything you can ask for! The hostess is really kind and ready to help with every question you have. She also recommended to us boat cruise to Mount Athos and it was lovely! The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was different every morning and it was prepared there. Also we got a little delicious surprise in the middle of our stay! Strongly recommend this place for calm and enjoyable vacation!❤️

We stayed at the Liotopi for 3 nights as part of our 2 week trip to Macedonia. The hotel is a traditional building lovingly managed by the owner LouLou. The room was delightful, overlooking the sea with a balcony. The varied breakfast was taken in the garden and evening meals at the nearby Hotel Akroyiali which is owned by the same family. Olympiada is well worth a few days stopover if you have a car. The ancient ruins of Stageira (birthplace of Aristotle) are 15 minutes walking distance and we had a wonderful scenic drive up through the mountains to Arnaia which is such an interesting town to spend an afternoon strolling around in the sunshine admiring the beautiful stone architecture rebuilt after the fire in 2005.

We returned to Olympiada after a three year absence and were not disppointed by the wonderful welcome from Loulou, her team and the staff at the Akroyiali restaurant. The daily breakfasts in the hotel garden are epic, the resort is traditional and relaxed with a wonderful beach and the evening meals at the beach side Akroyiali restaurant are varied, well cooked and very enjoyable. We hope to return soon and will be enjoying the delicious preserves made by Loulou, and send her, the Liotopi and Akroyiali families our very best wishes.

We were looking for a small, family-run hotel near pretty beaches in a quiet setting, serving traditional Greek food. We found it at Liotopi. Loulou and her team at the hotel were delightful and could not have made our stay more pleasurable. Spotlessly clean rooms. Breakfasts in the garden were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. Lots of little touches made our holiday just perfect. Dimitris and his team at the family-run restaurant were attentive and friendly, providing great service. The menu was more extensive than we had imagined it would be. The food was locally sourced with a choice of simply-cooked fish each day. There were vegetarian options and all the traditional Greek dishes, beautifully cooked.

We had a wonderful relaxing beach holiday at the Hotel Liotopi. We read about in a Times travel article and when we looked at the hotel website could see it was also featured by the Guardian. Our expectations were truly met. It is an gem of a hotel, such a quiet & charming place to unwind. Loulou is an incredible host and makes you feel completely spoilt with no fuss. The attention to detail in the rooms & service was impressive. In particular the breakfast served in the garden had new delights each day and the fresh flowers & treats in the room were such a lovely & personal touch. We also attended Loulou’s cookery class which was fab - a chance to taste more wonderful food and cookery tips to take home. Our evening meals were at the Akroyiali restaurant on the beach. The home cooked food was amazing, so much choice & variety. The manager Dimitris went out of his way to chat with our family and we really enjoyed his company. All the restaurant staff were friendly & the service was great. We really looked forward to joining them on an evening. In summary this was the most relaxing & chilled beach break we’ve had thanks to Loulou, Dimitris and their staff. We will definitely be back & highly recommend Hotel Liotopi & restaurant Akroyiali.

We visited the wonderful Hotel Liotopi after reading the rave reviews and it exceeded our expectation. The hostess LouLou, is the best hostess we have ever had, always making sure we had everything we needed. LouLou's breakfasts are incredible with a different range of delights each morning. Lots of special touches throughout our stay which added to making this hotel stand out from the crowd. The rooms are tastefully decorated and bed was comfortable. One tip would be to take ear plugs as the walls are quite thin. Located in the lovely village of Olympiada with wonderful beaches and small coves set against the backdrop of the vast forest. The village has a good selection of tavernas, bakeries and supermarkets. One of the many bonuses of staying at the hotel is visiting the beachfront restaurant for your evening meal. They have a great selection of quality dishes and friendly staff. Wonderful find, but shh...don't tell anyone as we'd be devastated if it were booked up next time we want to go.
