We stayed here - a family of 4 - daughter 15 and son 11 for 2 nights on the 4th and 5th August 2016. We drove from the Eurotunnel - it was a wet day unfortunately. On arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant lady and once checked in she took us to our apartment and showed us the... More

We spent a wonderful week here. We couldn't have been better looked after by the team that runs this maison hoteliere. The buildings of warm grey stone nestle into the hillside surrounded by wild gardens where tiny rabbits play. There are rooms with patios or garden spaces at various levels. Our room was lovely, with exposed stone and beautiful stained... More

We had travelled to the area to visit Flavigny-sur-Ozerain where the film Chocolat was partly filmed. Le Verger is ideally situated and we were charmed by the quaint village on arrival. We stayed in the family appartment which was well furnished, comfortable and perfect for the 3 of us. We were not quite sure what to expect as we had... More

We couldn't believe where we were headed, up & down & up again. But Le Verger was well worth this trip. Not only is it in the center of everything: Flavigny (without Judi Dench), Alesis, Fontenay Abbey, Semur-en-Auxois) but it was the epitome of excellence. The hosts were extremely friendly & helpful & speak good English, the food wonderful (they... More

The first time the family I visited Le Verger, we had our dates right but the month wrong for our reservation. When we arrived we could sense the relaxing, rejuvenating sense about the area and B&B. When we realized the error in our booking, the staff were kind and helped us sort emergency accommodation near bye...even providing a loaned baby... More

We were looking for an out of the way, rural place, and we found it! I knew I was right when we got an email after making the booking, telling us that the closest restaurant is 9km away, so would we like dinner, but to please let them know so that they can prepare. We agreed, and were not disappointed.... More

When we arrived our room was not ready. We could only get it at 10:30 pm ! It took them over 2 hours to serve dinner. The staff is inexperienced and the food is not worth 25 euros ! Not the "gourmet" dinner they promise you at all. There is a dangerous and long stairway to get to the restaurant... More

We were looking for a nice hotel in Burgundy and chanced upon this one. All I can say is that it is one of the nicest hotels we have visited in France. The location of the hotel itself is really special, high up in a beautiful old village. It is also very quiet and peaceful. The restaurant is located an... More

This hotel is at the uphill end of Villeferry. Coming up from the D905 keep climbing, there are no signposts to the hotel but you will come to it just before the end of the village, on the left. The hotel itself is spread over the side of a hill. Reception, some rooms and the breakfast room are on the... More
