We stayed here for a few days in February, on arrival the owners were very welcoming and helpful, they had left us eggs and cake which went down very well! The cottage is lovely and clean and has everything you could need. It is well placed for exploring the local area. We visited the pub in the village and the... More

In the centre of the beautiful and quiet Monyash village, Sheldon House bed & breakfast was a delight. A spotless bedroom with beautifully fitted en-suite. Fresh slices of home made cake on arrival, and the most amazing breakfast: freshly made fruit salad; locally sourced bacon and sausage; home made bread and jams; home made granola and eggs from their own... We stayed here as a foursome, using this as an ideal base for touring around the Peak District, which it is. We hired the barn, and our accommodation was on the upper floor, with the ground floor acting as a wet room for boots coats etc and we think a store. Overall the accommodation was good, the hosts were pleasant welcoming etc. In the barn... More

If you want one of the best bed and breakfasts in this area look no further. The accommodation was spotless and the hosts very friendly and accommodating to the extent of providing some lovely home baked cake to have with a cuppa in the afternoon. Breakfast was a delight! The fresh fruit was delicious, the cooked breakfast (using locally sourced... More

We stayed for one night so that we could attend a family celebration held at the village pub, The Bulls Head.....just around the corner. Louise and Steve made us most welcome and we loved our prettily decorated 'Blue Room'. My sister and brother-in-law stayed in the 'Green Room'....equally pretty and well appointed, but slightly smaller. We had a good choice... More

Stayed for two nights last week end (it was either B&B or camping with the kids) - what a fabulous find! We were in the Blue Room overlooking the garden - immaculately clean, and extremely well presented - fresh flowers are always a nice touch - home-made cake generally goes down a treat as well. The memories of breakfast will... More

My husband, my parents and I stayed at Sheldon Barn for a few days at the end of December. We were unable to go on the Saturday as we had planned because of the heavy snowfall but the owners said we could stay for an extra night to make up for it. We didn't end up doing that in the... More

We just love staying at Sheldon House. Louise and Stephen are so welcoming. This time was my husbands birthday which Louise and Stephen helped to make it special. Thanks again for your kindness. Margaret S.
