We stayed here one night only on our way from stavanger to Bergen. The property is a well decorated and tastefully done up home stay. The reading area and the balcony are the special highlight. The dinner buffet though was quite expensive and there was no ala carte option. Considering there was only one more restaurant near by, this option... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in July having travelled by boat from Bergen. The hotel is located on the Fjord with a terrace providing epic views of the mountains. The rooms are small and basic but clean with nice, clean bed linen. Small ensuite with plenty of hot water. Walls are thin but sound transfer wasn't a problem for... More

This village is a hidden gem between the beautiful fjords. And the hotel is a very charming place, with amazing views and antique decoration. It is an old house, and as any old house, has its problems, but it is so charming that you just forget the problems. Once you look outside the windows, you'll know what I mean Our... More

Had the pleasure of visiting this charming hotel on my motorbike trip up north to Trondheim. Hotel is situated at an excellent location and perfect for exploring the region and all its possibilities. Owners and staff is extremely serviceminded and also provided an half hour information meeting before dinner about the region and all the adventure opportunities. If you stay... More

We absolutely adore this hotel. Its very quaint and untrendy but that's part of its charm. Old school Norway. Spectacular location. Excellent food and the host cannot be nicer. He even dropped us off at the bus stop for our ride over the glaciers. Very romantic; a perfect selection for our wedding anniversary celebration.

When starting with the best, it is between enjoying a local beer on the deck overlooking the fjord, and the wonderful dinner. These 2 items we will remember fondly for a long time. Owner Bard Huseby checked us in and made us feel very welcome. Our room (107) was ok. It is small, but has one great asset: fjord view... More

You have to know what to expect, and if you expect the right things this place is just great. Not luxury, but small, homely, excellent local food and ditto French wine and excellent service. And then nature. Here you can have it all! We have tried it twice and will be back again!

A lovely hotel overlooking and at the base of the fjord. Lovely rustic rooms overlooking the water. Very personal family-run service, with a presentation of the area at 7pm daily, followed by a mass-sitting of dinner at 7.30pm. The set-meal was very good, although the breakfast disappointing. Norway is expensive, but USD 500 per night for a very, very basic... More

We travelled with a large party to Fjærland, staying at the Fjærland Fjordstue Hotell. The rooms are cozy and clean. The staff are more than helpful, and allways with a smile. Perhaps the single greatest part is the food. We started each morning with a great breakfast and ended the day with a fantastic dinner. Hand-picked wine and craft beer... More

Diner is delicious. Always made with local fresh ingredients and made with love. The hellbot was the best I ever had! For breakfast we recommand the waffles! A little More variation in fresh fruit would be nice. The Rooms are clean but the bathroom needs renovation. We had children sleeping above us so woke up early. They gave earplugs but... More
