Fjærland Fjordstove Hotell is a small white wood hotel built in 1937. The building was originally a guest house and were in the 80's rebuilt with bathrooms in each room. There are 15 small rooms. Some rooms have views of the fjord and some towards the mountain. There is no television in rooms or common areas. Each room has a bathroom built in the 80s with a toilet, sink and shower. All windows have shades if you should feel the night too light. On weekends, Fjærland Fjordstove Hotell is used by the locals as a meeting place. Which means it can be a little noise here when the discussion picks up over a beer or 2. As a guest at the hotel you are welcome to attend. At Fjærland Fjordstue Hotell you will experience great food and drinks, and welcoming hosts. We are committed to offering food that is healthy, tasty, and reasonably priced. Most our food is provided by local farmers. Let us know if you want to experience how they are operating their farms. You are welcome to visit their farm. We produce our own local beer called Fjærlands øl. It can be purchased in the reception. We import our own wine from Bordeaux. Internet is available and free.

We stayed for two nights, as a part of our road trip. We were blown away by the service and dedication of the staff, as well as the scenery. The whole atmosphere is very inviting, and we felt welcomed and taken care of in every way. An amazing chef that created a beautiful meal. Very high standard.

We stayed one night during a car trip in the Sogn region. We had a corner room on upper floor with very nice view to the fjord and the glacier in the distance. The hotel is very charming both inside and outside. (And like older hotels there are thin walls and a door or two may creak a bit). We were very happy with the host, service, cleanliness, the restaurant and the food from local production. We had a very good stay and would like to return some time to visit the glacier museum and also the glacier itself.

We spent a night at Fjærland Fjordstove Hotell & Restaurant and this place has done everything right. The hotel is situated in the most beautiful surroundings, food is made of local ingredients and is served in unusual and delicious ways, an outstanding winecellar with wines handpicked by the owner, relaxed ambience, lovely and competent staff, simple but clean rooms with beautiful views and good coffee. I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

We only used the restaurant. The staff was very nice and the restaurant is nicely decorated, but the food was not good. We had deer burgers and they had a very strong flavour (we had the same type of burger elsewhere and they were completely different). But the worst part were the potatoes, possibly the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. Not recommended to go there for lunch (or don't eat the burgers).
