We travelled to Mountain Paradise to go trekking in the hills (they are hills more the mountains) and to find what we hoped would be a cooler climate. Sadly this was defeated by the early arrival of the Harmatton wind, which blows in from the Sahara enveloping everything in a milky dusty haze severely reducing visibility. (we strongly advise all... Our stay at the Mountain Paradise was delightful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and over our stay made us feel like family members. The owner in particular went out of his way to facilitate experiences for us in the area, where we enjoyed great hiking, swimming in waterfalls and a visit to the nearby monkey sanctuary.

The place and landscape is great, i can not complain about it because it was totally awesome. But when we paid, we realized that we were cheated several times: - We had to pay extra for eacht time we used some of the tables out of the restaurant for eating. When we asked whether we could use them to the... More

I just have to tell the world about this place. It is truly wonderful. The rooms in this Lodge are just basic but you would not have any use for them. It is far better to just sit outside and admire nature. the lodge sits on a hill overlooking a range of mountains with thick green forest. It is unfortunate... More

The best thing about this hotel is the climate! Compared to Accra (hot, damp) and Tamale (very hot, dry) it's cool and on one morning we thought about wearing a sweater! The location of the lodge is great, but a bit remote if you don't have your own transport. The rooms and the food are OK, but nothing special. The... More

Hotel in very nice location and really close to some good tourist attractions. Simple but comfortable lounge area with nice view on the hills. Very simple guestrooms with not very clean bathrooms. Food not the best and better to not look at the dirty kitchen. If you decide to use the car service make sure to check the bizarre currency... More

We were two families with three kids aged 3-7 between us. Before we arrived, we thought that the kids would be bored. However, the hotel is quite unusual and enjoyable for all. The drive from Accra is about four hours. We avoided the weekend lineup at the Akosombo ferry (the bridge is closed for two years for repairs) by driving... More

Price and service-wise this establishment is exceptional and, without doubt, in a class of its own. My wife, 5-year-old little boy and I spent four days over Christmas in this aptly described mountain paradise and we will long recall fond memories of our time there far in the future. If you are expecting the Dorchester you will be disappointed, but... More

I was the only guest both nights I stayed, so the whole place was really quiet. The food and service were good though, and Tony the owner was attentive, suggesting a hike down to the river with a guide and a trip to Tafi Atome monkey sanctuary. The hike was very sweaty, and the monkey sanctuary was excellent, although Tony's... More

The views over the hills are really brilliant from this hotel. You feel like you are in the jungle version of an alpine refuge. The surrouding forest provide good grounds for hiking and adventuring. If you don't get lost (we did) you can hike to the top of Mt Gemi in 2hours. The food was good. The staff is friendly... More
