We had an extended stay at Lapida Gardens as we were travelling for 5 weeks. The staff made us feel very welcomed straight away and were very attentive throughout our stay.
The breakfast was included with our stay and had a full continental choice of food every morning which we enjoyed. The room was perfect for what we needed; it was comfortable, clean and was equipped with a mini fridge and balcony with views of the sea and the mountains.
The location was great for local restaurants / bars and the price we paid was outstanding for the service we received during our stay. We highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely like to stay again in the future!

Decent hotel with fruit garden and pool. Very quiet and chilled. The room was quite nice and hotel felt a bit like Marocco/ Turkish style which we liked. Lots of antiques in corridors gives this place a unique vibe. Unfortunately a very limited breakfast selection is a big disadvantage of this place. There are hotels of the same standards in this area with much better selection of food (- for instance Manolya hotel.) Our bath tub had previous guests hair blocking the drain... Which makes us think that no one cleaned and bleached the bathtub before our stay. Kindly asked a guy cleaner to clean it and he only removed the hair and didn't bring any bleach... I think overall is a good hotel to stay if you are hiring a car and planning to travel and sightsee a lot (however I would prefer more breakfast selection so you can leave the hotel with full tummy before your voyages :) we decided to eat breakfast outside of the hotel. We didn't stay much in a hotel just mainly slept in there. Once we tried to lie down on the pool chairs but they are so uncomfortable to relax on that we quickly left to travel somewhere else. WiFi didn't work on 1st floor at all. Giving it a 3 as it would be unfair to give more -comparing to other hotels of better standards we stayed in North Cyprus, but of course you get what you pay for so for this price is ok.

I stayed at the Lapida Gardens for a week over Christmas on a walking holiday with Solos. There were 13 of us on our group and a few other guests on other days.

The hotel itself is a little quirky and the family have a very large collection of antiques which are on display throughout the hotel. The gardens and pool area are lovely although as we were staying in December we did not use them much!

My room was on the first floor with a balcony. It was a good size and the bed very comfy. The decoration is quite basic and the shower was functional.

The restaurant and bar area was spacious and we had a large table our whole group good sit around. There was also a large log fire with sofas around it which we definitely needed in the evenings!

Breakfast was buffet style with a selection of hot and cold dishes. These were tasty enough but could maybe have been a bit more variety on the hot dishes. We had dinner each evening which was tasty home cooked food. Again maybe a bit more variety as each dish was served with rice, potatoes, and salad.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a small family run hotel so does not have the mod cons of a larger hotel, bit it does have friendly staff and bags of personality.

The location of the hotel is considered good, but I have never seen such a bad property before. I think the hotel never wants customers during the winter season. We had to give up 5-star hotels due to the high cost of living. The last time I came to Cyprus, we came to Cratos with my wife. Of course, they can never compete, but I have never seen such a bad business. Except for the people we thought were the owners of the hotel, the employees were either Indian or Pakistani. They do not know Turkish, and as they do not know it, you cannot communicate in English. They don't come into the room to clean the room even though you don't want it, they don't clean it, they don't change towels or bed linen. You find it the way you left it. They just flatten the quilt and come off. No cleaning, nothing. When you come down to breakfast, the tea is ice cold. We are not a traveling phenomenon, but we have stayed in many hotels in Turkey, Cyprus and abroad, and we have never seen such a bad and indifferent hotel. The rooms are freezing in the winter season. Even though the hotel was empty, on the first day they put us in a place where the television was not working, the air conditioning was not heated, and the bathroom was freezing. When he showed some reaction, they took him to another room, and the only plus was that the television was working there. We said again, let's leave and move to another hotel, then an Indian friend came and asked me for 10 minutes, I'm coming. We said okay. He came after 10 minutes and took me to a room downstairs. The air conditioner and television were working. When it got warmer, my wife and I said, I think we can stay on our own for 4 days. But we were really not satisfied at all. By the way, do not pay attention to the comments here. It is definitely not a hotel to visit.

Thank you for the wonderful stay in this quietly located and lovingly furnished hotel with a view of the 1000m high mountain range or partly the sea.
There are lots of places to relax, whether by the open fireplace, in the garden, by the pool or the very attractive pool bar.
The rooms are spacious, pleasantly furnished, with a balcony and a view of the sea. The breakfast buffet is great, very varied and a lot from the hotel's own garden, including super delicious homemade jams.
The staff and management are very friendly and helpful.
Everything important is within walking distance, the bus taxi stops outside the door.
Overall, highly recommended.

I definitely would not rate this place higher than 3 stars. The room is comfortable, and the few staff were helpful. The hotel is not near the beach, and it’s not safe to walk along the road. You need a car. There is one market not far from the hotel. There are several restaurants within a few kilometers. The hotel is like a museum. There are so many antiques and a lot of dust. The WiFi is very slow, and the water pressure is weak, especially if other people are taking showers. It wasn’t worth the price.

I chose this hotel because it is as small family run hotel in a good location for exploring North Cyprus. I arrived at Ercan airport late after a long delay and was collected by the owner's son. I therefore did not get to the hotel until midnight where the manager, Hakan was patiently waiting for me. My room was spacious with lots of cupboards, drawers and wardrobe with a safe. There is also a small fridge. There was a small balcony which overlooked both the sea and mountains. The first morning was spent exploring the beautiful gardens and one of the best freshwater swimming pools I have ever had the pleasure to experience. There is a pool bar and most days they played a lovely relaxing soundtrack. It truly was so peaceful and quiet. Made such a change from larger hotels with loads of people! This hotel only has 21 rooms and even when full, never felt busy. I stayed for 29 nights and felt perfectly safe on my own. The family and staff are so friendly and helpful and if you are looking for a complete "switch off" this is the place for you! I only booked the room so went out to eat most days. On the rare occasions, I stayed in, food is served lunch time and from 7pm. However, there are numerous bars and restaurants a short walk away or regular dolmus (bus) which run all over the place. Only about 30 minutes to Kyrenia which cost very little. By the end of my time, it really felt like home! I am going back next year! Finally, no need to take books as there is an extensive library.

It was really nice at this hotel, I couldn't wish for anything better. I was very pleased.
The room I got was reasonable, comfortable, the bathroom the same. I literally enjoyed my stay here. Nice balcony to sit on and have a view of the sea, which was visible even though the hotel was not directly on the sea but 1 km away.
The bed was really comfortable, everything was clean.
The breakfast was also nice, a lot to choose from, different cheeses, salami, fruit, vegetables, olives. What I also liked was that breakfast was served until 10.30, so you didn't have to rush in the morning, if you like to take it a little slower in the mornings.
The garden was wonderful with lots of trees and flowers. By the swimming pool there was a bar so you could just order what you wanted because they had quite a large selection of drinks. The swimming pool itself was nice to swim in and there was also a section for the children.
I have eaten several times at the hotel's restaurant and the food was good. Prices were affordable also.
All the staff were very nice, they took really care of me and other clients of course. So nothing to complain about.
I highly recommend this hotel, I think I would love to come back and spend a holiday here again.

Great and very friendly small family run B&B hotel, nice food with accent on local dishes. Hakan and other staff could not be more helpful. Organised car hire for us, gave us useful advice on what to see, do and where to eat , although 4 out of 7 nights stay we had very good and inexpensive evening meals at the hotel, Then evening all gathered round roaring log open fire by the bar. Bedrooms very nice with good en-suite and balcony. Our bedroom had lovely views to the sea and mountains. In terms of UK hotel rating between 3 to 4 star. The hotel being a local hotel of many years has a very slightly old fashioned feel to it which all lends to it's character. Nice swimming pool and gardens. Thoroughly recommend for couples and families. Lovely location. Just to show how helpful the hotel is, on our last day before flying home early, suddenly all restaurants and cafes were closed by the government, as part of the start of their lock down for Coronavirus, so the hotel made lunch for the guests and we sat outside at tables in their garden, enjoying the warm sunshine, food and beers.

The garden is very beautiful, the managers are very good and helpful. The beds are comfortable. Access to the sea is very easy. Close to the mountain and Lapida hiking trail. The jams are deliciously homemade, and you eat plenty of fruits fresh from the garden. The pool and its surroundings are beautiful.
