Not very clean and a single room transformed in to a double. No room to move. Toilet dirty and bathroom dingy. Bed covers stained and old. I never went down to the bar or restaurant so I can't comment but not a place were I would stay again.

Greeted by what appeared to be a grumpy man however he quickly warmed and proved very friendly. Food was efficient and tasty with an adequate choice of drinks. During pass-through, the hotel/restaurant was i) very unfriendly, ii) unwilling to accomodate a family with kids any sanitary stop, iii) counter-productive in terms of helpfulness while the entire village of Saint Michel de Maurienne was doing a great job accomodating stranded clients unable to pass through the mountain pass. Stay away !

Didn't actually stay here, but did have a lovely evening meal here. Nice menu and wine list. Belies the slightly shabby look. May be a bit of a main-road travel hotel, but could not fault the restaurant, food and service.
