We spent Sunday to Wednesday in one of the Aherlow lodges and really enjoyed it. The house was clean and had all the facility's you could need ( dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer ) and the kitchen was kitted out with all the utensils and delph etc. Bed was beautifully clean and white as were the towels. There was fabulous... More

We rented one of the self catering lodges for a 5 night break. The lodges are advertised as luxury, but they are not (maybe were once could do with a bit redecoration); they are adequately equipped standard self catering accommodation, but what they do have is a "luxury" location. You cant help but look at the view almost 24/7!!! The... More

Arrived on the Tuesday and the place looked superb. Walked in the lodge door to switch on the television after hours of driving and ferry travel. Television did not work so reported it to reception. They'll be here tomorrow was the comment I had for 4 days until my departure when the problem remained un fixed. And there lies the... More

Visited for 2 nights on a 'Escapes' voucher and we were really happy with our room (8) which was spacious, clean and had a great view over the glen. The voucher included a scone and tea on arrival and we were told that there were no scones left. A small matter but unfortunately an omen for worse to come.... The... More

We visited 2 weeks ago; we stayed in one of the lodges with my husband and our 2 children. The surroundings are magnificent and the view from our bedroom balcony was just beautiful. The lodge itself was plenty big for the 4 of us and our bed was really comfy. The kitchen facilities were adequate, we probably could have done... More

We organised a family lunch here to coincide with a school reunion in Kilross. Our planned numbers varied a bit as we were trying to coordinate with family members coming from abroad and the staff could not be more helpful. On Sunday we even had to change the time on arrival, for a party of 27 members, as some family... More
