This was one of the most delightful experiences. The hotel sits well above the valley floor in Corniano surrounded by vineyards with spectacular views all around. The food (with their own garden vegetable and fruits) and service was excellent and staff so pleasant and helpful. Our room- a suite- was large and beautifully appointed.
We was here in April for 5 days. It is a very comfortable and nice hotel, you're like in country village. Amazing view!!! Vineyard is around and the best view on mountains! Near located tennis club Runng. But greatest thing was..food!! We had half pansion (breakfast and dinner), for lunch we’re going to Rungg , where is amazing cafe or in the center of Bolzano. Was so nice complement from hotel, that everywhere stood baskets with delicious apples!! By the way, I have never tasted so delicious and nice served dishes!! And it is a 5 dishes for one person ! And also big self service table with salads, vegetables and snacks! you should see and try this! Cook have a gold hands! But... it prepares sooo long!!! You need to stay 2-2.5 hours for dinner!!!!! You will not disappointed, but it will be a long time for waiting...))) definitely , we will be back!…
We enjoyed the stay a lot, nice rooms and great food, and great surrounding garden and forest. Good location to go to the nearby lakes, and there is also a beach volleyball field, tennis, boccia and soccer field nearby. Only thing that was a bit annoying, and hence not giving 5 stars, was the internet sign up, with name and birthdate, when we arrived it wasnt set up yet, and in the morning it didnt work anymore, because we were already "checked out".. Nonetheless, would come again for sure, as this place is really about the fantastic location and food, and not about internet access!
We dined here with a group of German friends; there were 12 of us in all. The table we booked was nicely laid out, and the room clean and elegant. The menu was limited and refined: 2 appetizers, 2 first courses, two second courses from which to choose. All of the dishes were excellent: interesting modern spins on some traditional flavors. But the service was dreadful! The waiter was pleasant enough, but the timing was completely off, with some people's appetizers arriving more than 10 minutes after others had been served their first courses. I know the timing is not easy with such a large party, but there was no excuse for this degree of poor organization. The waiter seemed clueless in other ways as well: We were paying separate checks by family, and he told us to come to HIM at the front desk, one by one, to tell him what we had consumed and thus pay our portion of the bill. That's what you might expect in a local bar, not a restaurant with pretensions of refinement. All in all, despite the good food, this was a negative experience.…
I stayed a couple of days in this hotel and need to say that it exceeded my expectations. Certainly it is a 3* hotel, so keep that in mind, but the rooms are nice and perfectly clean: There is a small pool with a nice surrounding, sun chairs and an outside seating area for the restaurant. I booked the "halbpension" which included the dinner and meals where great, good choices, well prepared and really great. It was a pleasant stay, will be back for sure! And not to forget, it is a very quiet place and good starting point for mountain bike or hiking.
