My first trip and was so pleased! Stayed with friends on lot E-56. Nice & shady loop. Close to the bathrooms, bay trail, & overflow parking. Across from camp host. Still close enough for a short walk to the campground store located at the entrance. This is a super clean campground including the bathrooms. Family oriented. Quiet days & nights.... More

Loop C - lot of traffic out on our loop and very dangerous for kids on bikes - a few obeyed the 5 mph limit that is enforced by one host but many did not....she will not hesitate to ticket - no shade - tight camps- horrible dirty showers - camp hosts not friendly - we were 3 families (12)... More

We tent camped for 2 nights in site B-1. It had plenty of shade there and was close to bathrooms and camp store. Bathrooms in B loop were pretty good - there was hot water in the showers and it seemed fairly clean, although the trash was not emptied regularly. The bathhouse in E-loop was brand-new and even had a... More

Fort Pickens is a great campground with a family with young kids or just a couple wanting to go to the beach. My son brings his bike and rides the campground's roads, when we aren't on the beach. The sites are all even. Due to storms, there's not that many trees around the sites. So, you have to search to... More

We visited for 3 days at the beginning of June & stayed at site A020. While we had no shade at our site there were a lot of sites in loop A with trees & shade (the three sites across the street from us all had shade). The showers were separate all with individual locking rooms. This made it so... More

This is the least crowded loop. It has clean bathrooms and hot showers. The laundry room was closed when we were there. There is an easily accessible nature trail, a board walk to the gulf beach (clean and not crowded, perfect depth for children), and a sand trail to the bay side. We could not have been happier. Don't forget... More

4 loops and 180 sites, spent 3 nights and enjoy my stay. I was in loop D and there was a trail to the day use area. Where you could walk to the bay and even to the gulf and if you continue down the trail it takes you to the main fort. It was a quite but active campground.... More

Absolutely awesome location within walking distance to great beaches. Read the extensive reviews re the best camp sites. This is a basic NPS campground. Very little shade because it is a barrier island. Paved sites are level and in most areas well spaced out. (Use Google Earth when you are reserving a site). Water and 50 amp electric hookups. Given... More

My sister and i went here and loved the people that work there. So helpful and imformative. They also have a Florida trail, very easy to follow. Saw many different birds and turtles. Then we went swimming in Pensacola Bay. Gorgeous beaches there. Also saw Blue Angels practicing. Only a few people there. Perfect. Highly recommend going. Suzanne Sinclair and... More

Electric and water hookups. We had a fairly level site. Great access to the Gulf and Pensacola bay. Great for biking and some hiking trails. No hustle or bustle of resort life. Great for fishing off the pier or surf fishing. Will definitely come back.
