I had been looking for a different kind of vacation and this is one of the kind. The resort has been built to give a unique feeling and so is the ambience as well as the hospitality(service as well as food). The Van ride to the village and meeting some of the local craftsmen and their families is a showcase...

I, along with my family, visited Monchasha during Nov 2013. We reached Contai (Kathi) by train and from there we boarded the car sent by Mon Chasha. As soon the wheels rolled, the car stereo came to life with “Gram chhara oi Ranga Matir Path” the eternal melody by Tagore and the tone of the tour was set. On reaching...

However, the property is very well maintained & clean. Even the food served at this resort is top quality and the closest you can get to home cooked. The owners are wonderful...

If you are looking for an offbeat peaceful weekend getaway from Kolkata - this place is definitely worth a consideration. Aesthetic, artistic & minimalistic (covers the basics) the ambience transcends to a serene Bengali Rural hamlet in its full natural glory. The proprietors are too eager to look after all your comforts + needs. The veggies are garden fresh. The...
